put some bucks on the celtics, tempting odds for a G1 home game, cavs shouldnt be favs here
I've come to the conclusion that most folks don't really care that you broke one of the rules... they just enjoy telling you that you broke it.

Cavs in 5. But this could be the last time Lebron makes the finals, if he doesn't leave Cleveland or they somehow end up with an all star in a trade

Boston haven't really earned their place in the Conference Finals sadly.

Happily, they have. That's why they're playing today and Philly's not. 4-1.

Even worse? We'll see how this series goes. But do you honestly think this Cavs team has any real shot against the Dubs?

Lebron has continually embarrassed those that doubt him. Yes?

Are you saying I doubt LeBron? I don't. But we've seen the Dubs with KD play LeBron in the post-season before and dominate. It was a 4-1 series, with one close loss and one win that only happened because Cleveland broke a few shooting records. I'm not saying that LeBron might not find an ever higher gear this year - but his team's gotten worse, and the Dubs haven't.

My heart wishes the same result would happen this year. My head warns me otherwise. I KNOW LeBron will find a higher gear. I know our bench has declined this year.

The travel is whatever. Even Tony Brothers or Scott Foster wouldn’t have called that. You have the right to be upset about the Embiid foul.

Refs miss calls all the time and have been historically awful this year, but it stings when it’s during a closeout game. I disagree that the Celtics didn’t earn it. Apart from game 4, the officials were really letting both sides play so both teams were very physical with each other. But I understand Sixers fans’ frustration.

He should more upset about the world's greatest player missing point blank shots with the game on the line.

The Smart "travel" is ridiculous. He intercepted a 70-foot pass on the move. How can anyone catch that flatfooted? No ref would ever call that in real time.

Anyway, 42 minutes and the ECF begins.

Come on Pierce don't play the homer role.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

In his defense he did say he came back from 3-1 and out of time out plays are legit. He did also want to go full court with lebron going full speed instead of in the half court which led to the game winner.

So the argument can easily be made the cavs are not as good as last year and the Celtics are better. We just have to wait and see how that translates on the court.

Hill is an upgrade defensively and a better floor general than the closer the Cavs gave up, not much of a downgrade overall.
Love has been injured and playing through injury so if he seems to have regressed it's the wrong assumption. He is getting better by the day. Smith was terribly unreliable during the regular season and literally flipped the proverbial switch and has been damn good the entire playoffs. I think the assumptions the Cavs are not as good as last year are incorrect overall.

Yeah :noway: are we talking about the same JR Smith averaging 8 points on 40% shooting? Wow so he was that bad during the regular season that this is now his "switch"?

Raptors didn't really have anyone good defending Love so let's see how he does against horford.

Really? Hill is not much of a downgrade compared to Kyrie...oh wait it's Stillwater replying.
Nevermind, hill is top 5 PG.

You are severely over rating KI as a 2-way player if you think his offensive supremacy over Hill makes him that much of a better player next to Lebron. Smith has been rock solid defensively.
That's alright get your kicks in now before the beatdown comes.

Also Siakam guarded Love for stretches and he's better than anyone Boston can put on him, aside from maybe Horford which would result in Horford being taken out of the lane.

Hill is clearly better than Kyrie when it comes to defense and playmaking, but yeah saying he's not much of a downgrade overall is inaccurate. Kyrie's isolation ability is really valuable and gives him the edge. I'm definitely not as high on his sheer impact as most, but still we'd be a better team with him replacing Hill.

JR guarded who vs Indy?

Oladipo, and he did a decent job on him considering Dipo is a top 10 player and an absolute monster on both ends.

Exactly these jackasses didn't even watch the series yet they are somehow qualified to judge players.
Good luck Boston your ability to defend the perimeter aint gonna matter
