That was insane. Did his bat hit the ball on the way down from his stance?

No, you could see on the replay it didn't.

Great outing for Chacin, too bad the offense didn't show up.

Signing Chacin was basically signing Wily Peralta, according to some poster on here.

Williams in to pitch in the 8th inning of a 1-1 game. Big spot for him.

Seems like a weird time to bring this up when he came into the game with a 29/21 K/BB ratio and just faced one of if not the worst offense in the league.

Daniel Descalso is their 3 hitter tonight for Christ Sake.

Nothing good can ever be good. There is always a caveat. Haven't you guys learned that by now?

You **** are the ones who keep bringing it up every god damn day and I was hardly the only one on Chain here when he started out the year like ****.

And there is no caveat. Arizona's offense is complete ****.

He’s now 1 decent game away from being right back to his career norms of K/BB, of which he’s been worth a $7mm average value deal.

Losing the lead, though...booo.

What kind of **** show infield has has the catcher playing that ball. That's why I'd call for every ball near me if I was a pitcher. Just get the **** out of my way so none of you idiots can screw it up.

He has an ERA of like 2.5 over his last 7 starts. He's been pitching well for a decent stretch here since the rough start. You do your thing though.

This season so far just shows how unpredictable sports can be.

Going into the season the lineup looked to be a strength or the team, but the whole offseason was fans checking daily to see if another starter would be acquired. Here the pitching staff sits though with a team 3.53 ERA and instead it's been the offense as the bigger blame in most of these losses like tonight.

As for Chacin, he signed for only 16 million over two years. That's back of the rotation money. Anything better than him being just decent is gravy for that kind of money.

Gotta admit I'm feeling a little better about myself after picking him for breakout pitcher now.

Really sucks that Braun is still on the team. Can't believe they had a legitimate chance to get rid of him and even get something of value in return and over-played their hand. What a crock. Call up Choi and let Braun spend half the year on the DL ffs.

We'll argue this forever, but it's like making a deal with the national oil company in a communist country. Maybe they could've gotten it done, but they have only one team they can make a deal with and we still aren't completely sure which prospects were being discussed and how far that went. I think at the time he didn't have his 10-5 rights, but there were not many suitors that were not on his no-trade.

Of course in hindsight one would've given him away for free, but he was having a pretty good season at the time.

If this is truly what he is now and his bat speed just isn't there anymore, I assume he'll spend a lot of time on the DL over the next 2.5 years and just come off to be a bench bat.

Which is why the panic and "see, stupid signing" after a slow start, by a historically slow starter, was always hilarious. Chacin is exactly what the back of his baseball card tells us he is. Which should surprise exactly nobody.

Yes, Chacin is who we thought he was. He won't be a complete dud but won't breakout either.

That's what 16 million over two years buys you and better than what Baltimore shelled out for Cobb.
