Gotta be Bamba or Porter for me. Bagley smells like a slightly better yet skinnier version of Tristan Thompson to me.

Not a fan of lefties, does that disqualifying Bagley :D

Love that show.

Owner's wife, his "good luck charm". Tony flexed some muscle and made the wife happy, I don't blame him for it.

Hawks have picks #3, #19, #30 and now #34. Since we jumped Dallas in Round 1, we reverse the order in Round #2. I'll take it.

I remember that. But if you would have told me a couple of years ago that we would have a chance to draft Bagley, I would have been elated. Mo, Porter and Trae have a say, others as well.

She's an over the hill Milf that's trying to break into the burgeoning Atlanta cinematic scene. All kidding aside, she is welcome to the next draft.
Golly I hate that Sac jumped us from 7th I believe. They should have chosen 3rd at highest, oh well.

Hey man we never get any luck! At least you guys made an ECF recently and had a good stretch of making the playoffs. All I want is to taste the 8th seed :(

Happy we moved up one, but this is still a two horse race. It reminds me of the Oden/Durant draft and Hawks were left at #3 to take Horford, who is a good player, but not "i'm going to carry you to a championship" type of player. At #3, the Hawks can get a player that will keep them as a treadmill team for the next 10 years.

Ideal scenario, Ayton falls to #3...

After alot of personal work outs and deliberation Suns decide to take Doncic first overall.

Kings are set to take Ayton, but the Ayton's camp informs the Kings that Ayton does not want to play in a small market like Sacramento and would rather play in a bigger market in Atlanta, which is a bigger city and bigger black culture. To avoid another Cousins' fiasco the Kings take Bagley or Young

Ideally Ayton or Doncic.

Anyone but JJJ in that second tier (Bamba, MPJ, Bagley).

I wouldn't hate it if we traded back after Luka and Ayton get picked before us.

I find it peculiar TS is already mentioning trade scenarios.
I hope he displays better trading prowess than he's shown previously.

Something about Bagley and Carter bothers me in that their heads are too big for their shoulders. It's like they are 2K rookies on last gen consoles.

3. Atlanta Hawks: Marvin Bagley III, Duke, PF/C

Needs
: Just grab best player available

The Hawks don’t have a ton of positions filled for the future so they can really just go with the best player on the board at 3. John Collins and Taurean Prince are both nice pieces but not definite building blocks for the future as they currently reside. The nice thing about adding Marvin Bagley III with this pick is he can complement Collins and vice-versa. Bagley might have real outside range for the NBA level and he can certainly score the ball.

This selection for Travis Schlenk will loom large for the Hawks. They can’t miss on their first pick since the regime change and the move toward tanking. Bagley should be as safe as they come here.

19. Atlanta Hawks (via Minnesota): Anfernee Simons, IMG Academy, SG

Needs:
Fill out the perimeter

The Hawks have plenty of time before they expect to be good and competitive again. With three picks in the first round, they can reach a bit here with Anfernee Simons to grab a project. Similar to what the Thunder did with Terrance Ferguson this past year, Atlanta can mold Simons early into finding comfort at either guard position. Nobody at this point in the draft will have the upside of Simons.

30. Atlanta Hawks (via Houston): Jalen Brunson, Villanova, PG

Needs:
Fill out the perimeter, depth inside

We don’t know what will happen with Dennis Schroder, but either way Jalen Brunson gives the Hawks some nice depth at the point guard position. He could be a perfect backup point guard at the NBA level with his shooting, leadership, and scoring ability.

Draft Bagley or Trae and call it a day, it's pretty simple
