Ayton? lol Sure he is a physical freak but his BBIQ is awful, that's an insult to the Admiral

So some early early draft scuttle — Kevin Knox could go way higher than projected. His initial workout schedule includes a lot of team in the top 10. He may not stay in Chicago long.

So some early early draft scuttle — Donte DiVincenzo has some real fans in NBA circles - some expect him to post crazy measurements this week. Hearing his stock could be in the 20s

So some early early draft scuttle — word from Chicago is Atlanta seems to be open to trading the #3 if the return is right, they seem interested in moving down - that could change as they meet with prospects.

First things I'd look for in a big these days: quick feet to be able to switch, ability to catch in traffic, understanding of the game so he can take position in D and protect the rim.
Shooting and passing are gravy, nice to haves. Massive dimensions, extreme athleticism and post moves, I can live without.

To put it in an example, I can do more with a Clint Capela / Jarrett Allen than with a Greg Monroe / Brook Lopez or even Yusuf Nurkic. I want a mobile, low usage - high efficiency big.

If Brunson is on the board when the Bucks pick, would you make that pick? I don't think he should be there for them, but I would be pretty upset if they passed on him...

Divac trades Fox to the Suns to move up and draft Doncic to complete his Yugoslav backcourt.

Mikal Bridges or bust for me. Rather have us trade up or trade out of the spot.

No doubt. As I said yesterday, i can't believe how skilled he is and just turned 19 last week. Given where the league is headed Id probably be surprised if he's there at 17 when it's all said and done. My board so far:

Tier One
Bamba
Jackson Jr
Doncic

Tier 2
Bagley
Ayton
Mikal Bridges
Carter

Tier 3
Porter Jr.
Musa
Young

Tier 4
Bob Williams
Knox
SGA
Sexton

I'd be thrilled with anyone of those guys. This draft is deep and I'd love to somehow get two of these guys. For instance, id take the last guy in tier 4 (sexton) over de'aron fox last year who I believe went 5th overall. After that it's kind of a cluster but I still see a lot of good role players.

Unless Robert Williams falls to 17, I don't really love anyone currently projected in that range, just like last year. And also just like last year, I'd try to trade back to pick up an extra pick. I'd go with 17 to Atlanta for 30 and 34, selecting Jontay Porter and Shake Milton at those two spots. I like both of those guys enough to take them at 17, but getting both would be even better.

Musa's stance is so weird, he plays hunched over. He's crafty but I really doubt he survives in the NBA

I think the Suns should take Doncic.

Doncic
Booker
Jackson

That's a great young core. Ayton will be great but Doncic could make an average C much better.

They could then take Jontay as a stretch 5 or roll the dice on Mitchell Robinson for rim protection.

Are you talking about in the 1st round? I think he's expected to be a late 1st round pick at best.

We should have known something wasn’t right with Larry Sanders when he wore those Converse in summer league.

I reckon everybody would love to land the next Gobert or some massive rim protector who can also sort of shoot a little.

However it's a copycat league and nobody wants to reinvent the wheel, teams are looking at the top 4 teams playing in the conf finals right now and want to be like them. None of these teams has a memorable center, they just don't need one, and sometimes they play for stretches without a C at all.

But an oversized, switchy guard who can shoot, pass and make plays? Man, you can't have enough of those. Start from there and then you can go find your Tristans and your Zazas on the cheap somewhere, I think that's the mentality these days and this is why Doncic has a true shot at #1. Being a Euro might have been a bit of an issue normally, but not when his future coach literally just won a Euro Cup with him (and because of him)

Having said that I really like Bamba as well, he seems intelligent and focused. And he's a beast.
