Still think it would be a big mistake to pass on Ayton as he's clearly the highest upside guy, but it almost makes too much sense for the Suns to draft Doncic given all that they've indicated. The Kings literally can't screw up their pick this time......but they'll probably find a way to anyways.

Suns can also max Capella. Doncic to Capella. It would be an amazing move by Suns FO.

Doncic/Booker/Jackson/Capella

They would just need to sign a vet like Ilasova and they are ready to compete.

I can see Divac getting confused and annoyed with the rules, throwing back 4 shots of Slivovica, saying "**** it", hitting the phone to Kokoskov and striking a deal involving Doncic, a 2006 BMW 520, an arranged marriage for his niece in Prijepolje, Serbia, plus a pick swap and a future protected asset he doesn't fully understand.

Just such a Kings thing to do.

Ayton has the body of David Robinson but the defensive IQ of Javale. Potential is there but how many bigs who were **** on defense in college became elite in the NBA? I've soured on Doncic a bit too, his shooting dosen't look elite and he dosen't have much burst. Gimme Jaren Jackson

I would trade Giannis for a lifetime supply of homemade Slovakian Slyvovica, 10/10 times

I think maxing Capela would be a bit premature. Take another "down" season with Doncic or Ayton, Booker, Jackson, and score another high lotto pick plus potentially the Bucks pick (though it'd be really sad if that falls outside the 17-30 protection).

Then next season if whoever they take looks legit, think about filling in the peripherals.

Eh, Capella turns 24 in a few days. He's still plenty young and fits with their young guys. I wouldn't see it as premature at all if they think he's the missing core piece.

Yeah I still think he's worthy of a top 3 pick but I thought he was the clear no.1 previously. Just think his average athleticism could hold him back from being a real superstar

You have to wonder if that translates to "NBA superstar" though. You can't settle for anything less than a guy that you truly believe can be a superstar, Top-10ish player in the league with the #1 overall pick. If you think that's Doncic, then great. If you think that's Ayton, Bagley, or Jaren Jackson, then you pick them.

I have a friend from Macedonia who's dad would make it homemade. Unbelievable how good it is. There are a few places in Milwaukee that sell really good stuff. I never understood why it hasn't taken off in the states.

Yeah it could. You never really know with these guys, I remember Kukoc before the NBA looked like a long white streak of bird **** LOL After a couple of years with the Bulls he looked almost human. Same with Petrovic, Manu and others. Young guys don't really work on it SO much in Europe, it's not really needed, but then they join the NBA, they get run over a couple of times and they're like oh fck

Has nothing to do with his age. There's just no reason to max out a role playing center before they know what they have in their #1 pick and Josh Jackson's development. That's the kinda **** that would light this board on fire.

They have a boat load of cap room so I don't see how it would "set them back". Capella's a damn good young player. This obviously only makes sense if they pick Doncic #1 overall, but passing up the opportunity to sign one of the best young C's in the league just because "they don't know what they have" in the rest of their roster yet seems more short-sighted to me than the other way around.

And also just like last year, I'd try to trade back to pick up an extra pick. I'd go with 17 to Atlanta for 30 and 34, selecting Jontay Porter and Shake Milton at those two spots. I like both of those guys enough to take them at 17, but getting both would be even better.

Jontay is not going to last till 30. And 30+34 for 17 is an awful deal.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that a Kings fan called this all out on Reddit a month ago, and pretend like prophecies aren't real?
