Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
Messing around in 2K18 and started a new season, was looking at the top rookies and there is a 77 overall player who was undrafted and signed with the heat.
THATS CRAZY, hes probably the highest rated rookie in his class yet not one team picked him.. I have never seen that before, I have found a couple decent undrafted guys before. like 70-72 but 77? Damn. that's really cool that's possible though.

Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
So after my first couple short stints of being instantly killed in Fortnite last week, I feel like im finally starting to get a little bit of a grip on it, and I can say it is very addicting when you are squared up with friends. I hear console building is difficult and it definitely is by far the most difficult thing to learn for me. My first instinct isn’t to build and it seems very clunky frying to build structure like I see on YouTube.
It is extremely addicting though. Haven’t played a multiplayer game in a while that I have played as long as I have the past two nights.

Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
Started a new My Career as a SG. Figure it will help me learn how to break down defenders and score better in the regular game with guards. 2K18 is such a grind, especially at the beginning you can't do squat. Also it really irks me how you cant make a totally different player on your regular profile, they have to look like your other and have the same name. Stupid.
Created new on on a new profile, been playing a lot of it and have gotten the characters stats to a level where I should be able to do some damage. 3pt rating is maxed out to where it can be for now but I brick a ton still. Learning to shoot from the corners and working on some badges to make the shots go down more. It has been pretty fun actually.
Skipped a lot of games and am in the playoffs on my second season. Playing for the Nuggets. First round we played OKC, Paul George left them in the off season to go back to Indiana. About 8 games before the season ended we played the Thunder who were close to us in the standings and Westbrook went down with a bad injury. Had a great animation, knew it was something serious as soon as it happened.
So we match up with OKC and all they really have is Melo. Seems like it should be easy, first game we pretty much destroy them. Game 2 though... Melo turned back the clock and kept it there the rest of the serious. HE WAS RIDICULOUSLY good, he and Steven Adams won them the next two games. Coach switched me to SF (I am a 6'5 SG) and made me gurd Melo for games 3 and 4. Game 3 he torched me, low post, worst of all, Adams would set these mega screens that worked damn near every time and Melo would drain 3's.
It was frustrating but got extremely fun because it was so intense. Eventually we took control back after winning game 4 and then we won the next two in big fashion. One of the funnest my career experiences ever though. The way everything played out was so cool. Melo had one more legendary run. Also they have these edited playoff intros/recaps for every game and they are done pretty damn well. They definitely added some nice touches to the playoff atmosphere this year.

Re: The Newest Video Game Thread
I try to do the little things in order to get easy VC in games, one of them being setting good screens. Also, I find that making smart passes helps too.
For the first month or so, I end up with a lot of statlines under 5 points, but with a few rebounds and assists in most games.

Klomp, you should player lock in MyLeague rather than play the VC grindfest that is MyCareer (unless you are doing to take that play online in the park or Pro am)

Is the Xbox X worth it?
Or should I just stick with the x box S?

If you don't have a top of the line TV I wouldn't bother. There's some graphical and load time improvements without one but it's not worth buying a whole new console just for that. Unless you can get it heavily discounted (with a trade in maybe?).

Yea if you get a 4K tv that is HDR 10 capable. (HDR is huge) then its pretty nice. But also, only if you really want the best graphics on console. If you dont mind the regular xbox look you are fine. If you really want the top notch console graphics and have the cash, get the X. I got an X and Pro but I get a lot of use out of them. Not really worth it for a casual gamer unless they dont have either version of the console to start and dont mind paying extra.

My only problem with this game is that i play SG with the Wolves and Jimmy becomes a bench player which sucks.

I have gotten a lot better but I still think its really hard to penetrate in this game. I don't like how if you have a star player at your position they get benched. I think the game should make someone move to the next closest position if they have the kills to handle it. Like if Jimmy is taller than you and has the better positional stats, he should start at SF. Or Vice versa. Or if you have some skills you should start at point. The game should give you the option to veto any position they assign you to and they should give you the option to push for certain lineups when it comes to the top rated players. You shouldn't have to unlock it or anything it should just happen from the start because it makes the gameplay better. Its really stupid and unrealistic that someone like Butler would be benched.

See I dont think you should have to get that high, it takes AGES to get to 90. PRobably like hundreds of games played they should let you do that as soon as you crack the starting 5, at least to a degree where you don't have all stars getting benched or traded when you can play together.

Xbox One is still the main console but the X is the upgraded version of it.
