I don't know, the workouts have not happened. Those make a big difference.

If you want me to answer to have some sort of debate, fine. At 6, I think if JJj is there, you have to take him, especially if he kills the workouts. But he wont be there, so I think I go with Young.

It's an impossible answer right now. The Magic will need to work these guys out and we will need to read some leaks around the league of who is doing well and who is struggling before this question can really be answered.

No debate. Genuinely curious.

My personal hope is we get Young or MPj. But I also have to trust that the FO has way more info than I do and may see red flags that we won't hear about.

My other outside hope is that we trade up for the Clippers pick at 13 and take Lonnie Walker or SGA. I feel like someone is going to do that.

Is that because of need or he's likely the BPA at #6?

Poor free agent class for PGs, only Exum, Smart and Payton are under 25.

And the Magic drafted Issacs last year so another wing may not make sense, though are the Magic going to let Gordon and Hejonja just go in free agency with nothing in return?

i think it's 50/50 on who wants Young because he's BPA vs because fit. Luckily, because of his ceiling, it's easy to cross potential BPA with our need.

I like Exum and Smart, but Dante can't stay healthy and Smart can't shoot. I'd happily take either this summer, but being RFAs, we'd have to overpay, and not in a position to do that; with Dante, it's a big risk, given his injury history. All we have is MLE anyway, so if that's the offer for Smart, Bos easily matches that.

Payton...been there done that.

Magic want to keep both, Gordon and Hezonja, but one is restricted, and the other is unrestricted. We can only control AG and pray Mario likes us enough to stay; and who knows what kind of offers he'll get out there. Hopefully both return and continue to grow with the team, but as you know, it's business.

Carter, but I have a feeling Dallas will take him. I think Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, and JJJ are a top 4 lock.

I really like Bridges...solid piece to add to a good team. Too bad we’re not a good team. Swing for the fences - Trae Young!

My thoughts exactly.

He is going to do great in Philly while people here misunderstand the situation and say we missed a star. But put Bridges on Orlando, Sacramento or Atlanta where he is expected to be “the guy” and he is quickly seen as a bust.

Give me MPJ. I'll be happy with Young or Bamba, but I prefer MPJ over the three. We might get lucky and get a #1 pick at 6

Michael Porter Jr. would be nice if available. I could convince myself that Bamba isn't a terrible choice.

Do we get the same treatment from silver for the playoffs?

Its Trae Young. Its always been Young for me. My board was always Doncic, Ayton and Young with Portor as the wildcard. I have a feeling we are gonna pass on him though.

So Assuming the top 3 picks are Ayton, Donocic and Bagley, Than I been hearing the Mavericks take Bamba at 5th pick? So lets say Mavericks take Bamba at their 5th pick because that would really help us out. If all that happens than what about the Memphis Grizzles at the 4th pick?

The Grizzles are the Wildcard at the 4th pick, What if they take Porter? Oh that means Jaren Jackson Jr has fallen to us
- What if the Grizzles take JJJ? OH MAN PORTER IS AVAILABLE AT 6, We can't pass on Porter if he becomes available at our 6th pick, I don't care how many people have a crush on Trae Young or want him, Can't pass on Porter

-Or What if the Grizzles take someone other than Porter or JJJ and maybe take Trae Young? - So we pick either JJJ or Porter, We still have to take Porter.

Technically the Nba draft starts at the 1st overall pick, But actually the REAL DRAFT starts at 4th pick

Portor is the wildcard. If he checks out that makes me pause a bit on Young. My thing is if hes on the board a 6 you gotta wonder why. If his back checks out he should be off the board at 3 or 4. But I dunno. Thats a tough one. Thats why I havnt voted yet. Id take Young over JJJ with 0 hesitation.

Porter Jr really can force his hand on where he goes...

Very interested to see who gets Porter Jrs medicals. Does he only provide to top 5 ? Then closer to the draft due to no one in top 5 wanting him provide it to a team in 6-8 range?

True. If he doesnt give them to us then Id erase him from the board. Ive heard no indication that he would do that

Probably won’t hear about that until the draft combine is done. Then all the guys will start individual workouts /interviews.

I'm guessing 100% we will workout/ invite these players to come:

Michael Porter
Trae Young
Jaren Jackson Jr
Mikal Bridges
SGA

Yes it appears our 6th pick comes down to Porter, Trae or JJJ but definitely still do Mikal and SGA even if we are likely to pass on both.

Anybody else that gets invited or for a workout will be our other pick later in the draft.
