How is it that Al Horford is now considered a bigger factor than Al Horford.

I think people likely feel Horford is even more talented than Kevin Love now.......

Al is much more well rounded. Isn’t as good a rebounder, and doesn’t score like love, but al’s passing and defense are light years ahead of love. He is also more athletic than love.

I think you people just ignored al because it didn’t fit some narrative.

According to many on this board & just about every paid analyst, we were "supposed to" get demolished.

Also don't understand how if BOS holds home court and CLE holds home court, somehow it's advantage CLE? Nope, the advantage would be with BOS because it's then best 2 of 3 when we have 2 home games? Once CLE wins on the road, it's advantage CLE. So the only upper-hand to be gained over the next 2 games is by Boston.

Playoff series are largely about momentum. If Cleveland wins games 3 and 4, I think the momentum swings their way, and then they basically have two shots to steal one from the Celtics in the Garden. Lebron has the ability to go off like he did last night, and if he gets fairly decent output from those around him - and I think that would be more possible if the Cavs get momentum by playing well and winning at home in G 3+4 - the Cavs could win in Boston. Remember they were up 11 at one point last night, and 7 at the half.

A lot of people thought the Bucks series was over after 2-0, and that went 7. Lebron is a big step above Giannis, and a momentum swing could get the others involved. It's not over, though I do think the Celtics have the clear advantage right now and will have a chance to steal one in Cleveland.

So would you concede right now it's advantage Boston? Because we have the current momentum and have to win 2/5 instead of 4/5.

The real thieves are the Cavs players collecting millions while putting little or no effort into playing defense. If I were a Cavs fan I'd be furious at their performance so far against the Celtics.

Ainge doesn't have to do anything except keep the players he already has and use his draft picks wisely. No need for him to pick up the phone either.

Bostons young players have proven they are willing to play hard on every possession and have rendered the skill level of the Cavs vets to squat. do I think Bostons players are more skilled? no.

Allen Iverson vs Tyronn Lue

In all honesty Stevens is considered top 5, possibly top 2 in the league. I view Lue as a somewhere in that next tier, maybe towards the bottom. He’s not going to carry a team at this point in his career and needs a top-5 player to be successful. Brad on the other hand can coach up good players and win.

Using current players I’d say Durant vs someone like WiggIns or Wall. Generational talent vs young talent that could win it all in the right situation.

I disagree that Ainge fleeced Cleveland. Kyrie screwed over Cleveland by demanding a trade, and the Cavs screwed themselves by waiting to trade him until Boston was the only buyer on the trade market. It's not as if there were a ton of teams that had both a good enough roster to know they can probably re-sign Kyrie in a couple years, and also expendable assets matching the value of a guaranteed future lottery pick and a decent rookie center prospect. There weren't going to be any way better offers coming in.

Here's an example quoted from our 3rd string PG Shane Larkin.

"There was a loose ball near Shane even though the ball was in favor of his direction, the opposing player got it, next play he got benched"

It was not exactly said like that but I remember it similarly. One thing is, Brad likes his players to hustle for every ball, every possession. That's why he plays Marcus Smart so often despite awful shooting %'s since he is the embodiment of hustle and grit for the C's.

No, not really. They are slow and old and we're outplaying them. LeBron scored 42 and tripple doub last game. He cares, he wants to go to the Finals and not lose to the C's. We will see if he's able to.

He is not trying to win this series because he knows they have no chance at the Warriors, so it's better to lose now (even to a depleted Celtics squad) than getting swept again by the Warriors.
