Haven't watched any Maryland this year yet, and probably won't unless Huerter stays in. Why didn't he do more this year? Why didn't he have more responsibility? Is Maryland just that egalitarian?

I'm torn between Grayson and Dzanan right now.

I don't love or hate Grayson at 17. He has range on his 3 ball and he'll play tough and do the dirty work. We could probably do better but we could also do worse. I see him immediately being able to take over Dellys role and I don't mind that at all.

Haven't you wanted Grayson since he was a freshman? I think we can do better.

Gun to my head and I have to make my pick right now for the Bucks at 17... Jontay Porter.

I'd love a dynamic PG that could replace Bledsoe right away but I'm not seeing that unless we trade up for Sexton.

I'll gladly stay put and take Porter. Hes big, smooth, athletic and has nba range on his shot. There's a lot to like with him especially mid round.

I don't know what Grayson Allen does for us especially. Run an offense? No. Guard 1's? No. Guard 2's? Adequately maybe. Dead eye 3-point shooting? Not really, he's decent. Basically you're hoping for scoring punch off the bench and he has little upside given his age, experience, and tools. So I agree with Supreme the Bucks can do a lot better.

Boy, this draft is starting to feel real deep the more I get into the prospects. I legit see 5-6 guys I’d be more than OK w at 17. I really really hope we can shed some unnecessary clutter on the current roster and buy back into the 2nd round.

So I'm a bit late to the party and haven't seen any athletic numbers yet yet. Few things:

JJJ measured out better than expected. 6'11, +6 wingpsan, solid weight. Definately center sized. If his stroke keeps being reliable, I have zero problems taking him #1 overall. If he stays till like 3 and we don't try everything to trade up for him I'd be pretty upset. He's like the perfect fit at center for us.

Miles Bridges actually measured out much better than expected. +3 wingspan (more than reported), 5% body fat (used to have a lot of babyfat). Solid all around player without any red flags.

Diop has outstanding measurements. Legit can play 2-4. Wasn't that much interested in him but going to give him a solid look now.

Don't like Konate. Unless he's got a 3-pointer, he's just too small.

Okogie with top measurements. Somewhat interested in him.

Disappointed with Spellman's body fat, Smith's height. Also expected Smith to test out better athletically than he did. Have Walker over him now.

Edit:

Okay I've seen everything now.

Well, it obviously depends on who is available - i.e who slips for whatever reasons.

Realistic players I like that 'might make it' but most likely won't last:

SGA
Zhaire Smith

Players who most likely will be there around our pick:

Jontay Porter
Robert Williams
Shake Milton
Jalen Brunson
Lonnie Walker
Jacob Evans (Emuney sold me here. I've watched a few games since and I'm on board)
Khyri Thomas
DiVincenzo
Diop
Melton
Holiday

I don't have a top 5, really, at this point. But, at this point in time, I could get behind any one of those at 17 really.

Think Okogie has to be considered the big winner of the combine. Aced every athletic test, measured out with legit 2 guard size (6-4 with 7' wingspan and 8'6" standing reach), played well in both games. Young sophomore, doesn't turn 20 until September. He should be in the mix for us.

I think we should find out which one of the greater Orlando coffee shops is Weltman's favorite and post Thon up there.

Spellman was coming down from a really high body fat %. Ain't no thang. The measurements for him were solid. Got into the 6'9-6'10 w/ shoes range, while being thick, is mobile at that weight, and has an acceptable 7'2" wingspan + 8'11.5" standing reach for a modern center who can stretch. He should be able to hold his own against traditional centers better than they can against him on the outside. And he's bouncy around the rim, while I think he knows how to play. Had another good scrimmage game today. Solidifed him for me at 17. Give him a promise and shut it down.

Myk had a terrible wingspan measurement though. 6'4.75", 3 inches shorter than his height w/ shoes. That's one of the most quintissential t-rexes in combine history I think.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
