I always seem to love trading down, for some reason. how about we trade our 7 to the clippers for their 12 and 13. two lottery picks for one. at 12 and 13, try to get Miles Bridges, Kevin Knox and or Robert Williams. then at 22, take the best player available.
Would the Clippers make that trade? Or, how about 7 to Philly. they take Mikal Bridges. We get their 10 and 26 and a 2nd rounder. Have four picks in this draft. Take two to join us; and two Europeans to draft and stash overseas.

I'd love to trade with Philly. They need to consolidate some picks. They've got 10, 26, 38, 39, 56, and 60.

I don't want to trade down from 7 to 10. I do want to take on Bayless ' deal for 38 or 39. Or trade down from 22 to 26, for one of those 2 early 2nds.

Actually, just make it one deal..... Bayless, 26, 38, and 39 for 22. Opens up a bit more cap for them and moves them up a bit in the 1st.

How does that make any sense from the Bulls perspective? Why would we trade down and take on salary for a 2 2nd round picks?

That's not bad, so long as the Bulls really have somebody they think can step in at #15. They can resign Vonleh and Kilpatrick to come off the bench. At #7 they'll either see Bamba fall to them or take Porter or Bridges for their 3 then when #15 comes along they either pick a 3 to go with Bamba or if they've already drafted a 3 then a 4 to fight with Vonleh or a PG and jettison Grant and Payne. Some combination of Oubre, Holiday and Kilpatrick back up the 2-3

What do you guys think of moving Felicio and Holiday for Dwight Howard?

It removes the only long-contract you have on your books and the total guaranteed money is about the same. You also now have a big that can start, put up stats, and will ultimately lose you games. I also think having a big body like Dwight next to both Lauri and Porter (if you draft him) would be ideal while they further develop their strength. And with Dwight on the team you'd also be free to move Lopez for a future asset.

You're taking on one year of a contract. It's 8.5 mill. It's money we wouldn't use otherwise. And I'd gladly do that and move down 4 spots, to get 2 relatively early 2nds. 20-40 in this draft isn't that far apart. I'd much prefer having 3 shots at getting it right, than just one. 22 versus 26 is the same caliber of player. And you're getting 2 more shots to go with it. I'd do it in a heartbeat. If anything, Philly would have to pick into someone, for them to do it.

As far as the picks go, I think it’s a debate worth having. Taking on 8.5 mil has an opportunity cost tho that I wouldn’t be willing to do for a 2nd rd pick. Golden St bought 37 for 3.5 mil. 8.5 for 39 is not a good deal and it takes up cap space that could be used to get a different asset.

That would be a hard "yes"...but IMO, it's just about trading Felicio's 3 year bad contract for Howard's 1 year worse contract. Holiday is a nice bench player on a 1 year deal, but we got lots of bench players. We were free to dump RoLo before, but couldn't get a 1st for him. The only bad part of the trade is that Howard may win some game for us if we want to tank again.

Who's willing to take back Gallinari for #13?

Imagine Bamba at 7, Miles Bridges at 13, and finish w/ Khyri Thomas. Resign Lavine and let everyone else walk.

That's actually a great point. I've not thought about how much buying picks can cost. That said, I'm figuring the Hawks, Kings, and probably one of the Suns, Magic, Mavs, or Lakers wind up searching for these types of deals this offseason. The one year deals are valuable, not sure if the opportunity cost winds up matching value from prior years or not.

But, what you said does make sense, maybe in a deal like that, there's an extra asset coming our way.

Doubt celtics would do it, but i would try number 7 pick and bobby portis for jaylen brown. They have a lot of wings and get gordon, need size and bobby is skilled, and the 7th pick us a solid pick while clearing a huge future salary for a good player that is not a superstar. Also, more likely how about portis, number 7 for mavs pick? Mavs get a good young player in portis to combine going down 2 spots.
