He's out of sight, out of mind. I don't know why the hell this kid made this decision other than his parents pushing him to come out.

Bruno returning is great news. Every so-called expert had him going but I think he was pretty underwhelming in all the workouts and all the scouts that saw him in the regular season knew he wasn't ready. Thank God they don't just just vertical leap, body fat, strength, agility, etc. and actually look at a guy's skills. Hopefully, he refines that next season and the Terps can be a legit top 20 team with or without Huerter.

Huerter really should come back.

But if he gets the first round guarantee he's got to come out.

While it is GREAT that Bruno's coming back, it's vital that Huerter also return. Everything falls into place if he does, and everything could fall apart if he doesn't. And Bruno and Huerter can both be 2019 lotto picks.

Edit, it may not mean anything, but Huerter reportedly cancelled his next scheduled team workout.

I'm ok if Huerter leaves though hopefully he returns. Maryland busted their ass recruiting Wiggins, Ayala and Serrel Smith. They have the guards to replace him along with Cowan and Morsell. What they don't have is quality size up front. Without Bruno, they would have Bender, Sticks Smith, Tomaic, and Herard in late December.

If Huerter doesn't return, I think you have
PG Cowan, Ayala
SG Wiggins, Smith
SF Morsell, Trace Ramsey
PF Stick Smith, Tomaic
C Fernando, Bender, Herard

If he does come back, they are pretty loaded:
PG Cowan, Ayala
SG Huerter, Smith
SF Morsell or Wiggins, Ramsey
PF Smith, Tomaic
C Fernando, Bender/Herard

Problem is, it's a 3 guard offense, and Morsell can't shoot. Even if Wiggins has a great frosh year, I don't see it working out. Huerter would make a HUGE difference - with his experience combined with the best jump shot in the Big 10. Without him, they'll be struggling to make the NCAA tournament, and this really should be the payoff year where they at least compete for the Big 10 Championship.

RIP Cliff Tucker - way too young at 29. Died in a car crash on Memorial Day. Not fair.

Morsell can't shoot, no doubt, but there's hope that he can improve in that department. I think Wiggins can shoot and at 6-6, he can play 2 or 3. Ayala can handle the ball and you can play Cowan more off the ball, which he's probably better suited for. It wouldn't be as devastating as losing Bruno.

Yeah, that was awful. On a day when Md fans should have been happy with Bruno's return, it turned to sadness.
