I am all about Ayton. But its funny that Tom Chambers would say that. I bet Scottie Pippen would say the opposite.

Pippen is biased towards wing players, he doesnt have much opinion on bigs.

But I bet Pippen would appreciate Josh Jackson's game style for sure.

Just the most important hole for a center.

:-?

Again, I was like you. I thought he's just a quick Valenciunas or skinny Cousins.... although he reminded me of David Robinson in regards to his size and athleticism.... and double handed dunks.

But he's explosive and he will CHALLENGE perimeter shooters shots... which is key today. Might not get the block shot but its there.

We all have to remember Ayton mentioned he sees himself KG like... hence he pushes to be "PF" in the league

Kevin Garnett was not known as a shot blocker at the rim... but he is known as a shot alterer ALL around the court... as he can challenge shots from Point Guards to Centers.

Kevin Garnett became this good.... because he was coached this way and it was part of his developmental.

With that said... If Suns drafts Ayton.... Suns should hire KG and even Hakeem to spend an off season or two with Ayton to teach him the defensive and all around game.

I'm not as bullish on Ayton as a perimeter defender most of the time I remember him getting driven by for layups, he's definately less mobile than Bender or Chriss.

Knicks off Kristaps Porzingis and Emanual Mudiay for picks 1,16,31.

No less then that. Yes or no?

Exactly. These clowns are not going to mess up an opportunity to have two dynamic wings and a dominant Center. All 21 and younger.

You should trade devin booker to the kings for the #2 and draft Ayton and Doncic since you guys can’t pick between the two.

Ayton dominated against inferior league college midgets. :dontknow:

But he was double teamed and tripled teamed...

and to be honest his own team mates "contained" him the most.... Ristic pretty much was a wall inside the paint for Ayton.
His guards looked for him a lot... but also missed him a lot.

Ayton is good at freeing himself for a good position I've noticed... very old school Great Era Center mentality. Its like watching David Robinson in the mid 90s...

Effectively trading Booker for Doncic would be a quick way to get the Suns fan base to raze Talking Stick to the ground lol

No, they wouldn't trade #1 for him.

Add Pick 9 and the conversation might go further along.

Ayton won't have too many problems scoring and rebounding. It's the other side that needs the work, particularly against the much better competition.

You guys are looking to dump Porzingis because he took an arrow to the knee.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Na. Whoever is taken #1 won’t be better then KP imo. Only worth trading if we can get more then one pick.

Thanks for the response

If Ayton had played with TJ McConnell, he would be the undisputed #1 prospect.

I don’t want to trade him. But I think there are a lot of good prospects in this draft so I’m ok with resetting with fresh new management.

KP is a franchise talent. He’s going to come back a beast.

I think Michael Porter will add difficulties to Suns selection process as we closer to the draft night.

McD's comments about "big" men who can dribble and create is very applicable to MPJ as well... he's 6'11, albeit average wingspan... but very good to elite jump shot and good to very good 3pt potential..... and ATHLETIC.

Mini-Durant. Can play SF and PF.... and even Center as he can definitely out-maneuver other team's centers like Capela and Gobert.... which will force teams to put Small Forwards on him.... or Durant.

McD mentioning they're open to trading Pick 1 for a veteran All-Star is obviously a wink wink indication to Spurs and Pelicans.

Kawhi and Davis.

I would do that.

Because it means, other Star FAs would come over too.

Its basically... NOW vs FUTURE.

McD is under pressure to put a good team soon.

Return to Phoenix Suns
