No less then that. Yes or no?

Add Pick 9 and the conversation might go further along.

Na. Whoever is taken #1 won’t be better then KP imo. Only worth trading if we can get more then one pick.

Thanks for the response

If only KP had Ayton's rebounding and Ayton had KP's defense.

And then Josh would kick his ass.

You think Josh would rather play with a rookie than Towns?

No, Not if we were trying to win the title in 2019, but since we aren’t.....

Charles said Ayton was the best big coming out in the last 25 years. So....everyone has an opinion, but I don’t think Charles would trade for him, especially considering he is 19 and Josh and Booker are 21 respectively.

I know who KAT is and I’m not impressed. AD, yes! KAT is no AD.

Not impressed by what KAT is versus what Ayton will become. Not saying KAT is no good. Just doesn’t excite me. If we had a chance at KAT we would have traded him for Love probably since Love was a Bird in the Hand.

I know KAT is putting in work and closer to his potetial and is establish and all, and more of a sure thing than Ayton right now, but I'm just not enthralled with KAT. AD yes, KAT no!

jcsunsfan wrote:Good grief. Ayton over KAT all day every day. No way. AD, I would consider it, but even he has an injury history that would bother me. Ayton has no health issues at all. Just make the pick. Yikes. Don't try to get cute.

WTF? Are you people insane? There's a reason why KAT was the top choice in the last 2 GM surveys for question which player to start a franchise with, ahead of Giannis, AD, Kawhi, Durant, Lebron, Curry etc.

In his 2nd year he averaged 25 and 12 on 62% TS. With a diminished role in his 3rd year he averaged 21/12 on 65% TS. He has never missed a game in his career. The Wolves are 13 points per 100 possessions better with him on the court. He's Booker's best friend. He would immediately make us one of the most exciting teams in the league.

Draft fever is a serious condition. There's maybe 5% chance that anyone from this draft will be as good as KAT.

Considering there is no empirical data supporting that 5% and Ayton is a 1% specimen with skills, I'll take those odds. Again, not a fan of KAT and his soft slight build. Give Ayton 3 years to add more mass, he'd break skinny ass Capela in two. Long against long equals push, but long against muscle and long equals that's yo ass! Ask Mutombo and every other tall skinny C Shaq smashed.

Ayton could carry 10-15lbs of more muscle like nothing. I have never in my life seen a guy coming into the league at 19 with that size and build. Go look at all of the greats when they were in college and compare them to Ayton, not close.

Ewing, Duncan, Robinson, Davis, Kat, Gobert, Kareem, no one, again look at the tape. Most freaks are just athletes but Ayton is more than that and basketball is still new to him. The Greak Freak was the same type of guy coming out, but skinny as hell too. He went 15.

I'm cool on KAT.

Give up Ayton and watch him become an inside and outside dominant beast for someone else, because we could wait 2-3 years, no thank you.

Looking a gift horse in the mouth...Maybe that's why the Suns never had a great center or number one pick. The gods knew we'd just trade him away.

You are going to get @thamadkant excited talking about Ayton adding more weight. I don’t think he needs much and I don’t want to sacrifice foot speed. On the flip side he completely transformed his body in 6 months after never lifting weights before college. So who knows, maybe he can add weight and be even more explosive. If that happens....

Yeah, I don't think he needs to add much more mass. There is a reason he hasn't been injured. Lets keep it that way if we take him. I'd like him to develop a little toughness and a bit of a mean streak/toughness and of course get that D coached up and work on extending his range.

100 percent agree. That’s why I said 10-15 lbs. dude is 19. He can get a little thicker and more powerful. Once he becomes a man and realize how imposing and dominant he really is, I don’t think passivity would be something we’d be complaining about in the future.

I saw him get geeked-up (I’m old school) a few times after some big plays. He has fire. I only watched a few vids of him before the draft, because I thought we would not have a shot at him and I didn’t want to set myself up...

One sweet aspect of getting KAT is combined with booker and Jackson all the sudden the suns are the cool team that the early 20s NBA guys want to play with. They all seem popular with their peers and now you have shot at another good player forcing his way to Phoenix. I'm not saying they would be the next super team but they would have a chance.

Now if doncic or Ayton blow up maybe you get an even better version of this but KAT is more of an instant and sure thing.

All probably moot because min would be foolish to trade KAT.

Anyone talking about going after Capella and playing Ayton at PF?

I hope not. If they take Ayton the resources should be used to get a pg who can help him develop not another big to clog the paint or put Ayton on the perimeter all the time.

I'd build a team with Ayton and shooters around him. I think Ayton will rebound at an elite level so you can play smaller guys around him.

Bender isnt small but a nice fit with ayton. Camp him out at the point line and give Ayton space. Bender is a weak rebounder and Ayton can cover him there.

If they draft Doncic Capella is the perfect addition.

For the last and final time, he isn't worth the max. The only reason why he looks outstanding is because he has 2 great point guards who command so much attention and they just simply spoon feed him easy buckets. Great shot blocker but that's just it. He needs a superstar PG to make him shine and PHX doesn't have that

Hope not, he's not a PF. His shot isn't good enough for that, too much paint clogging.

That is exactly what Charlotte did. They trade for Vlade, because he was an established player.

I think we all can agree, no mater what happens next month, we are looking at a very exciting team with a chance to start something amazing. Don’t get me wrong, probably still won’t make the playoffs next season, but of a sudden, we will be a destination again where free agents will want to play.

Big shoutout to Ryan McD, things are going to get very interesting soon. I wish draft was next week!

It's silly season so none of this **** will actually happen.

But find a way to get Towns and Doncic out of this summer.

We are in a very interesting position....something we having been in in a long while.

We have a potential #1 who wants to play for us....and an owner who wants him.
We have another potential #1 who possibly wants us.... and a coach probably wants him
There is a star player who may want us...and a player who probably wants him.

And we have greedy fans who want all of it, and most who will be somewhat dissatisfied for one reason or another at the end of this off-season.

What a time to be a fan.
