Again check JJ's advanced stats for assist percentage. It is not very good, almost as bad as Warren. Neither are visionary passers.

This is where advanced stats doesn't match the eye test and scouting

JJ has good passing instincts and better than Warren for sure.

But JJ has been surrounded with players who can't finish. Guarantee that JJ would average close to 4 assists with a very good finisher big man or another sharp shooter catch and shoot player ... Daniels doesn't count.

You'd want Randle at PF next to another traditional big? I think if you have Randle you NEED a guy that can already stretch the floor all the time. He worked well this season because he was playing with Lopez. If you have a big that is a great rebounder and plays more inside, I don't think Randle is a good fit. He's be a good fit with someone like JJJ.

No I'd want Randle at C where he played over half his time and dominated for the Lakers this season.

Doncic
Booker
Jackson
Bender
Randle

I think Randle as a wide body can handle the pick and roll with Booker and Doncic. He is also a very good passer. He averaged 16p/8r/2.8a this season

I'm with you re offense, but the question is defense. No rim protectors in that line-up. Weak rebounding. I think that overall, we'd be disappointed by the results.

But while I don't think that crew would be great as a SL, I do think they could all work as part of the same rotation. Add a true rim protector and a defensive PG to that five plus Warren (plus an energy combo guard and a flamethrower off the bench), and I think Koko would have a lot of excellent ingredients to cook with.

How much will Koko miss Rudy when he's drawing up his defensive schemes? Wonder what he thinks of Mo Bamba. Probably doesn't matter much, because Doncic > Bamba, for sure, right?

If Doncic > Bamba and Bamba = Ayton, then Doncic > Ayton. Right?

I would love for Ayton to kill it in the pre-draft process, but even then, this could be a situation where we're deciding between Olajuwon and Jordan, with Drexler already on the roster (combining things a bit here, I know). Would that make Bamba Sam Bowie? Does history "rhyme" the way stories do?

You are right about rim protecting, but Randle is a solid rebounder. And that's one of the best things about Doncic. He's a great rebounder too. You're getting a guy like Simmons/Ball who probably would probably average about 7 boards a game....maybe a tad less.

I saw on realgm news that Devin Booker took a picture of KAT in a Suns Jersey on twitter. So assuming the Suns would take Ayton at #1 overall pick, If they traded the #1 pick than the Suns are saying We think KAT is better than Ayton. KAT didn't look good in the playoff series against Houston, He looked like he got exposed. KAT is playing with Jimmy Butler and Wiggins so its not like the Twolves are so bad. I think considering how KAT looked in the playoff series against Houston, I rather have Ayton if I'm the Suns but maybe a change of scenary is needed for KAT perhaps?

Suns - porzingas, 3rd pick
Knicks- 1st pick, Chriss
Hawks- 9th, 16th, suns 2019 first ( unprotected)

So the suns traded- Chris's, 1st & 16, suns 2019 first
Knicks trade- Porzingaz, 9th pick
Hawks- 3rd pick

Draft donic 3rd ( if the agent tell the kings he wont play for them)

Donic
Booker
Jackson
Warren
Porzingas

Now thats a good young team

Booker yes, Jackson not so much. He's more of an Iso player. His passing and vision are no where close to Doncic. Really Jackson was on par with Warren in terms of usage versus assist percentage. Once either Warren or Jackson get the ball they are more inclined to drive to the bucket or shoot instead of pass. Check the advanced stats.

1:20 and 2:08

Also if you have the Euro you don’t have Ayton. So comparing Josh’s passing to the Euro is irrelevant. Also don’t forget, when Josh was ISO crazy, Booker And Chandler and TJ weren’t passing opinions for him. If you forgot that’s ok

But the pick-n-roll with Bender, Chris, Len, and Williams should always be an option. Again the video shows only one assist by Jackson out of the pick and roll and it wasn't even to the roll man.

These are terrible examples. Bender is to soft/afraid to drive so a pick and roll becomes a pick and pop at best, Chriss is too wild so the roll is a 50/50 option at best, Len has hands made of stone, Nash would have struggled with him, and Williams played a grand total of 70 minutes last year.

Can't believe BW hasn't said it already, but that picture is old. That's when Minny came to play us last year and he and Book were hanging out and he put it on. Booker is just messing around.

I just don't want to get even younger. Porter and JJJ both have skills but the Suns need some veterans that know how to play and will complement the young core of Booker, Jackson and Ayton/Doncic. If the Suns are taking on a bad contract -- attach it with picks and maybe get Kemba Walker to go with a contract from Charlotte. I am not a fan of Meyers Leonard but Aminu with Leonard for Chandler and a pick if the Blazers want to move cash.

Yes. I said I saw it a year ago. KT is just mocking Book as a pretty boy that all the girls love. KT did not put on that jersey recently. Book is just having fun stirring up the rumor mill for the heck of it. Honestly, I don't think there is anything to any of this.

Minnesota, at least from the FO prospective does not chat....as Thibs is very tight lipped, but there does appear to be people around KAT's camp that is saying there is some issues within. If you want to read into that, KAT is upset that they fired his personal guy and that Thibs is probably tired of watching KAT not play focused on defense. Maybe Booker, and others are just playing off that. Because Thibs has Butler on his roster, I find it hard to believe he'd move KAT for what would basically be another young player. Unless he's trying to drop Dieng in the deal, I don't really see Minnesota actually wanting to pursue this rumor. I really don't know from the Suns view. I think having KAT and Booker would make those two happy since they are buddies, but after that, I don't really know.

I think Looney would be interesting as well. Even if you draft Ayton. I think he is better than Sauce actually.

Sorry if I didn't catch this earlier but Triano's moved on huh?

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/249933/Hornets-Hire-Jay-Triano-As-James-Borregos-Top-Assistant-Coach

It's good and bad. Bad that we lose a potentially solid assistant who's already build a rapport with our younger players but also good that we don't have any left over pieces from the previous 5 seasons. Good to start off with a blank slate

Dont think Rockets will resign Ariza.

Suns could use him if they want to push, but 76ers would push hard for him and Paul George IMO... damn they're actually scary if they manage to sign both.

No doubt Ariza is on the list - might have to overpay but he such a solid player for a team

Looney - looks like the Warriors will be hard pressed to pay him any kind of salary

I really think the key to this offseason is what can the Suns do with the money currently being spent on Dudley, Chandler and Daniels (even Williams is 5.5m, Ulis, Reed) that can be better allocated for the team. Like I would cut replace Williams with Looney in a heartbeat for his defense.

Also if the Kings really want Ayton at number 2 and the Suns want Doncic - could the Suns do a switch and get something - granted, not any expiring contracts to move so that's probably not an option.

I remember liking Looney a lot, but I don't remember how high I was on him at the draft. Rondae was probably my guy, because Rondae will always be my guy.

But I still think Looney's a good player who doesn't get a lot of minutes on a stacked team. Wouldn't be against picking him up this summer, as long as it's not a steep price.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
