Yeah, and that wasn't blatant at all. That was the most subtle "kick" I've seen in my entire life.

I don't think it's about intent, but about the action itself, which the league is trying to curb. Same with the whole planting your foot into a player's landing space. You don't mean to injure, but it's the action itself, not it's intention, that is the foul.

I agree, the league has to do a better job of calling that consistently else players have no incentive to make adjustments. I think the way it played out in this instance, even if it was a natural motion, it impeded Love's ability to land, so the evidence of the leg out was convincing to the ref who called it.
