Can't believe I just read that this team lacks sack. Literally one of the craziest takes I have ever read on this forum.

When you are shook on the road against a garbage team(your words describing the Cavs) and can only play well at home, what is that Cave?

I will wait from now until the end of time for you or anyone else to give me an example of another team winning at least 10 playoff games without TWO top 15-20 players.

Even to make it fair for those real old timers who have followed NBA since 50's or 60's when there was a hell of a lot less playoff games, can anyone name a team that won 2 games in the conference finals without 2 top 15-25 players? It may have happened when NBA was just an 8 team league but I doubt it has happened recently.

Who gives a **** about that play? He got fouled and made a free throw.

And missed one that cuts the lead to 6

He makes the easy dunk, it demoralized the Cavs and maybe they don't come down and score easily against a now set defense.

Baynes wasn't much good today but who was? Seems agenda-driven to single him out.

I think Tatum and Brown's box scores tonight were misleading. Lots of clumsy offensive possessions that ended with clunker dunk attempts, getting stripped or blocked, dumb fouls on defense. I'm not "mad" about it, its a lot to ask for players in their age 19 and age 20 seasons to lead you to ECF victories on the road. But piling on the role players tonight is unwarranted.

Why does Rozier start in this series if they pick on him every time especially in the beginning of games? Smart needs to start instead even with his awful shooting at least he has better scorers to surround him. With Rozier it’s a mess communication wise and effort wise. Rozier never was an above average defender, he’s actually always been below average yet it seems like only the Cavs are aware of this in the playoffs so far.

Rozier has been an absolute animal during these playoffs. He was fantastic in the home games. Without him we go nowhere..not even past round 1. He deserves to start til the end of it all. He was actually the only one making shots tonight..defensively, this switch **** is killing him. It's awful. He guards Love, Thompson and LeBron more than he guards Hill and JR. Wtf.

Hopefully Brown will start next game with some confidence. Just an odd start from him, needs to attack from the jump.

I might start Smart instead on Rozier and force pick and rolls with Al, he really needs to get going.

Forcing too much on offense, not letting our passing open things up.

Yes, Smart needs to start. This makes all the sense in the world. He is a much better facilitator than Rozier. Playing with the first unit would give him multiple options to pass to, which hopefully means he feels less need to shoot himself like he does when he's with the second unit.

And Rozier thinks he is Michael Jordan anyway, put him with the second unit where his love of shooting could actually be a good thing. Not to mention sending him a message that his ball hogging and poor shot selection cost him his starting spot.

I’ll give him a pass for home games to start but I can’t stand him on the road. The Cavs are abusing him to start the game on switches and Rozier is awful once he gets screened off because he quits. That’s something that Larkin is way better at fighting through screens. Rozier may have scored tonight but the way he was doing it wasn’t Celtics basketball. Bunch of iso chucks and he only made 6 while missing 9 shots. We let them score 68 points that first half. I would take a hard look at starting Smart in game 6 at least. Everyone on this team is different at home so we can be fine even with Rozier struggling on defense

They are dog ****. Brad Stevens and his unheard of switching 10 ft away from the 3pt line giving them all the match ups they want is absurd. Him going to Semi Ojeleye is just useless if we are going to switch and have him on JR at the corner and Rozier on an island with LeBron. It's bad, lazy defense and it's pathetic. Baynes should start for Morris and there's no argument against it. Morris is out here getting cooked so what's the **** point?

If you want to switch everything, line up Tatum, Brown, Semi, Morris and Horford. Go without a point guard. if not, pick your damn switching scenarios properly. Sure switch Rzier on Lebron if it helps avoid a wide open Korver 3 or something like that..but they are switching for no reason. It's absurd. It cost us this game again. His time out management is trash also. Why areyou not burning 3 or 4 timeouts one after the other when they are putting you in a 16pt hole in Q1? Come on man. Lue didn't let us score 6 straight points all game without calling a time out and they had a double digit lead all the way through!

Marcus Smart was horrendous. I wanted to punch him in the face multiple times today.

This Cavs team is the exact same trash we all knew they were. We are just bailing them out going small and switching everything.
At this point, why not double off Jeff Green? This dude is so trash you have to dare him to make a shot. I'd double off him every time. Brad needs to get creative for us to win this series. I can't believe how little they are getting out of the Tatum-Smith matchup.

Should start Smart, Brown, Morris, Horford, and Baynes. I usually hate going big but they need to turn this series around defensively, and that's one of the lineups that will do it. BIG lineup that will bang and grind and make Cleveland uncomfortable. Ease some of the pressure on Rozier and Tatum, who are finding space tough to come by.

I say this knowing how brutal the Marcuses have been on offense, so it really pains me, but if you can drill into their heads over the next two days that the offense should be Al running things from the free throw line and pick and pops/rolls to Al, then maybe it won't matter.

In the game threads I can get kind of inflammatory, like a lot of y'all. But the biggest takeaway I saw tonight is Jaylen is a killer.

Jaylen had a bad first half. He got blocked by Korver and didn't make the correct pass out a few times. Brad yelled at him for not taking the last shot when he forced a drive at the end of the first half. I thought it was a decent look, but strategically you gotta wait.

He came back and showed the mentality of a closer. 0-9? Keep shooting if you got the confidence. He was attacking attacking attacking. He didn't get down. He has the mentality of a KG, Jordan, Kobe. Get bottled up and make the wrong play? Okay, come back and attack.

The only nitpick I have with his game right now is as an attacker he finishes shots too low. Sometimes he drives and tries to flip it in from shoulder level. Anyone can block that. It's a bad release point. But he can get to the rim at will. His change of direction/speed is Nique like (Nique's probably slightly more explosive) and his back to the basket game emulates Jordan. Don't get me wrong, Jordan is and will always be the superior player. But Jaylen is looking like an absolute stud out there. His ceiling is a top 3 SG/SF. LeBron overpowered him a few times, which is understandable, but he didn't back down. He had a good poke away on Bron and continued to fight.

One could argue that he forced it. But no one else on our team had the grit/skill combo to force it. It's unfair to pin that on Tatum because he's a rookie. But together they are showing tons of skill where most other young players would completely fall flat. 12 seconds left? Game over? **** you I'm dunking that **** if you don't play defense. Move on to game 5.
