The odd thing about it was that LeBron is a mismatch on everyone anyway. But still, watch Kerr incorporate that reverse switching D.
Are the Warriors resting Iggy b/c they think they got this series or is he really hurt?
What is your 1-10 rating on how much that matters in that series?

It's like DeRozan and Lowry running into defenders in the playoffs, not getting the call, and flipping out.
Derozan and Lowry are superstars, for them to not get calls is odd.
Has it been this long since the Lakers were competitive in the playoffs?

Boston just needs to stop **** their pants in the first quarter every time they play the Cavs away. Handle that, and they can beat the Cavs. Celtics are basically the Lebronto Raptors in the first quarter of every away game.

LOL at Berkeley with his first question to Stevens. Good on Brad for shutting him down.

I'm really impressed by Brad Stevens in this presser. The Celtics have themselves a coach of Champions. Probably not this year, regardless of how this series ends, but it's coming.

If youre BOS do you consider not playing rozier and playing nader instead in order to eliminate those clear mismatches?
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Going to be a super tight game you'd think....
I do think. I also think (hope?) that Lue has gotten better about getting starters off the floor to rest and that Brad has some match up issues to deal with for the first time this post season.
We should probably start Baynes against TT. I imagine he makes the change next game

You don't want to do that. It means one of Morris, Tatum, or Brown has to sit.

So you must feel this is an offensive foul:

Do you honestly not see the difference between Dipo flying so close into Love's body - so even if yes Love leaned in, but he was able to get that call because of Dipo's proximity to him - and Love literally flying by Morris? If we're going to compare calls, we have to compare same instances (O player kicking out motion, like OP mentioned with Curry); these are not the same plays.
You said that the foul was warranted on Morris because "it had the effect of Love not being able to land, unintentional though it was". The key point, according to you, was "Love's landing space being impeded".
How can you not say Oladipo's landing space was impeded?
If Love didn't intentionally lean two feet to his right, Oladipo would never make contact with him.
So are you saying that it's okay to intentionally draw contact and impede a defender's landing spot, as long as it's with your entire body and not just your leg?
*sigh* they're two different fouls. Dipo was moving forward toward Love. Love's motion was not towards Morris but passing by him; it's easier for Love as shooter to generate that call because of Dipo's heading right towards Love. However, Love was contesting across Morris (more perpendicular). But more than/in addition to that, the Morris foul called by the refs was specifically because of Morris's leg out motion that connected with Love. Not so in the Dipo on Love case, so not comparable. It's not about the general space issue, but the specific motions that got called.
I'm not saying I'm ok with an O player intentionally leaning into a player, but if you leave your feet towards an O player, that most often gets called. Morris got called for his foot being out enough to trip Love as he was floating by Morris. It would be more constructive if we compared foot out calls/non-calls to each other, and O players leaning into defenders calls/non-calls to each other.

Celtics couldn't break that 7/8 point barrier but fought hard to get back in. A bit of home crowd juice and adrenaline is going to be a huge addition for them in game 5.
I'm not sure if the Cavs can play any better than their last 2 games and we're going back with home court and strong recovery from the nightmare that was game 3.
Celtics in 7.

*sigh* they're two different fouls. Dipo got into Love's space as a shooter; Morris got into Love's space as a defender via specifically his foot. Dipo did not get "into Love's space as a shooter". It is very clear from the video and still photos that Dipo would have made zero contact with Love if Love had not moved two feet to the right.
You are moving the goal posts. First you said the foul was because Morris got into Love's landing spot. Now you say it is specifically because of the leg and the "motions".
Love got into Dipo's space as a defender more than Morris got into Love's space as a defender. And he did so intentionally.
So it's okay for a player to intentionally put their body in the way of the flying defender's path (who would otherwise avoid them entirely) and draw contact, so long as the offensive player does not extend their leg in the air?
That's the position you want to stand behind?

Nice win by LeBron. Yet, the Cavs aren't good enough to take a game 5 at TD Garden. The Celtics in 6.

What is your 1-10 rating on how much that matters in that series?
Well, Iggy was the MVP of the Finals in 2015 and couldn't play in Game 7 in 2016, so I'm going to say it matters.
So, like a 5?
