So he's already peaked?

Yup. Most players peak as 19 year old rookies.

I'm not saying he can't get better, of course he theoretically can. I just think that he won't take a big step without being hte unquestionable number one option on the Celts which is unlikely considering return of Hayward cutting his minutes and Brown having to get his. I think he's due for a regression to the mean and his play trailed off the second half of the regular season where Josh was bettering him.

I think they will be happy if they are winning.

We wont win with Bender at the 4 and Chriss/Tyson at the 5

I expect C to be addressed either way...a lot of FA centers and we would probably draft one, if by some chance we do take Doncic at 1.

That's where Capela can come in. Throw a max at him ASAP in FA. If Houston loses to Golden State I really doubt they want to give him a max unless they strike out on every other plan. Morey is going to want to try and bring in either LeBron or Paul George and LeBron takes his sweet time in free agency.

Maxing Capela sucks, but Suns don't have a lot of options or good ways to spend that money anyways.

We would trade Bucks/Heat/#16 to move to into top 7 and take Bamba.

Doncic
Booker
Jackson
Bender
Bamba

Off topic but I personally would not max Capela, He has Chris Paul and James Harden spoon feeding him.

His defense is great, but his offensive production would drop drastically in phx IMO...... and then at that point is he really worth the max ???

Moot point, because he wouldn't have averaged that. As I said, it would have been somewhere in the 35/9/9 range more or less, depending on the talent level of the team. 99%

I haven’t commented on that, but they could lose the locker room and player's trust.

JJ didn’t hesitate when he said Ayton and as someone here mentioned, pointed at him after winning the lottery.

Also, when it’s a tie, you go with best fit and that’s a Ayton. Booker JJ and TJ are all good wings....Bender Chriss and Chandler......

Can't teach competitive spirit. You either have it or you don't. Guys like Doncic thrive in the playoff environment.

Exactly, that is what i think it is going to come down to. Filling the center spot is going to be extremely difficult to do if we pick Doncic. Getting a restricted FA is going to be near impossible and all the non - restricted FA's don't want to come here.

If we roll with a line-up of Doncic book JJ Bender Tyson ... we will be in the top 5 of the lottery next year

Unless Ayton has a KAT like rookie season we will likely still be a bottomfeeder team, at least a year from being two years away. We talkin' playoffs?

A lot of people are saying Sarver is enamoured with Doncic because of Nash but fail to leave out he also watched Amare for the same amount of time. Both of these kids are going be great players, they also both happen to fit a gaping hole we need filled badly. If we draft Doncic and Bamba falls a bit I'd like to trade up and get him. If we draft Ayton I've got my eyes on a little guy that came out of Arizona who would fit in at PG perfectly.

Capela is too expensive IMHO. In fact there are a lot of teams being killed cap-wise because they have overpaid for centers in a small-ball trending league. Honestly, I would prefer we pay Nerlens Noel for two years at half the max or less. His rebounds, block, and steal numbers as well as defense are definitely on the plus side. I don't see him getting paid as much this summer and could be a very good deal for us. Could be spoon-fed by Booker-Doncic-Jackson-and-Knight too.

If Doncic is good then they will like him it's as simple as that.

Heck I'm sure Booker was super stoked when they took his buddy Ulis... but I bet he would be even happier now if they would have taken Malcolm Brogdon instead and actually had a good PG.

Nerlens was one of my favorite players during his rookie season and I think we can get him on a 1+1/prove it deal between 5 and 10 mill. I still think he is Marcus Camby 2.0 but yeah he is a finished product at this stage of his career. He shouldn't have bet on himself and should have just taken the long term contract when it is was available rather than holding out for more upfront.

1) It's not a tie ... right now as a basketball player Doncic > Ayton ... Ayton has a lot more question marks !!

2) You don't draft for fit as you can alway trade JJ or TJ. Take the best player available !!

3) Pass first point guards are hard to find. Doncic is going to play team ball and share. He won't mind shooting less if the team is winning. That's the most important thing. I'm so tired of watching ball dominate scoring PGs like Bledsoe.

4) If our team had a competent PG last year initiating the offense we would have done so much better. Chandler and Len were no where as bad as the players in our PG rotation.

Just Remember that if Suns draft Doncic it will take the ball out of Bookers hands and also the one thing that the Suns have never had is a player like Ayton. I like both players but Draft day the Suns need to draft Ayton .

I’m not arguing or trying to dispute your opinion, however, I disagree.

I truly get more excited when I think of Ayton in Phoenix than I do Doncic. So, that’s why I like Ayton. He is more of an anomaly.
