I dont know why people think that Memphis will trade down. They are trying to grab the best player available and if that's Luka Doncic he will be playing in Memphis. They want to make the playoffs next year. I don't see them trading down unless they get a quality player back.

Yep no team has said they’re trading down.

Phoenix said they would trade for a vet, which I interpret as AD or Kawhi.
Memphis never said they’re trading.

Right on. MEM has always had modest aspirations with their limited budget (they won't go deep into luxury), and their goal with this draft is to get the highest-ceiling player, have Conley/Gasol mentor them to their full potential so that they have a generational franchise player to build around. Trading down, creating cap and loading up on new FAs would be a nonsensical and fruitless long-term plan. I imagine they're committed to finding the best BPA, and trading down wouldn't address that.

I don't see where these rumors are coming from either, they need to trade Conley and Gasol not their lotto picks. I don't put much weight in having their all-stars sticking around to be mentors either. They can't sign or trade for anyone impactful enough to bring them into contention in the West. The reality is, they know they'll never attract a big enough name to sell tickets so those two will play out their contracts and keep filling as many seats as they can. Whether they start their rebuild now or 2 years from now it's going to be ugly for a long time so they might as well make money while they can.

Those numbers are unheard of. We are so far away from winning anything, we should still be in talent collection mode.

I hear that

I think his game will seamlessly transition to the NBA. Such a phenomenal talent, kinda shocking that more fans aren't on board with bringing him in if given the opportunity.

People fall in love with athleticism, wingspan and size during draft workouts. Trae Young posseses neither. There is no worse time to be Trae Young than it's today and next whole month.

I tend to agree and even if the backcourt pieces don't end up meshing long term their is still enough minutes between the 1 and 2 spots for Young, Dunn and Lavine to have enough court time to grow, imo.

This isn't like the 76er's drafting 3 centers in a short span that couldn't really be on the court together.

This is a bit of a tangent, but if I was Hoiberg and the Bulls drafted Young, I'd sit down Lavine and Young before training camp and tell them whoever plays the better defense is the starter along with Dunn. The other will come off the bench and be our 6th man.

Wendell Carter in the 4 games without Bagley:

- 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks
- 13 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks
- 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks
- 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks
Working on becoming Titletown:
Bears - 9
Bulls - 6
Blackhawks - 6
Cubs - 3

Explosive athlete who is longer and has (in theory) a very workable shot. Also is one of the youngest players in the draft.

Izzo blew it with that kid, that's the only reason he might fall out of the top 4.

I like trae young, I think he'll be good in the nba. His shooting ability + passing/court vision is great

but man real gm bulls forum is harsh on dunn(lavine too) but y'all just rip dunn to shreds. I like dunn's attitude,he's a great teammate who works hard he'll be solid player at the least. Give him a chance and again he has the best chemistry with lauri out of any bulls player/pg's

If the bulls drafted young(assuming the top 6 are all gone) I wouldn't be upset at all.Talent is talent you figure fits/roles out later

I thought Dunn was playing like a boarderline all-star before he broke his face. So I have an open mind on him going into next season. I don't even care what the "advanced stats" say. It was a crap team. Nobody is going to have strong advanced stats on this past years squad. I'm going by the eye test and what I SAW him doing during that tank - demolishing stretch.....that ended when he broke his face

This was from when he was w/ the San Antonio Spurs ...
"Jimmer thinks everybody is stupid," said an NBA assistant who worked with Fredette. "He thinks everybody needs to come and just turn over their offense and let him shoot it anytime he wants. That's not how the league works."

If you're talented & lucky enough that the Spurs want to develop you after your career is a miserable failure...you need to STFU and listen. Jimmer was just mentally delusional about how good he was and how little he had to learn.

Mental issues will always torpedo a career, be it Jimmer or Ben Gordon or Tyrus Thomas.

I wouldn't assume Trey is also that delusional. But if he is, it will come out instantly in the interview.

I completely agree.I saw dunn close out the jazz with some daggers, led the bulls to a win vs the hornets I think he had 12-14 points in the 4th and several other good to great games. I recall some bull fans last summer saying they rather have dennis smith jr., dunn destroyed dsj in dallas held him to 5-14 and scored 32. This was one of his best games of the season

Does dunn need to improve his jumper and finishing at the rim? Absolutely, but I just don't understand the disdain towards him. Those same advanced stats everyone loves to lean on says lauri was a net negative on offense & defense last season. Not to mention dunn is already a good defender he had the highest dpm on the team which is impressive when he played for a tanking bad defensive team.
