I'm just gonna say I think it's more likely that KD wins FMVP than it is that the Warriors lose this series

Luc being terrible in this series is a big reason. Luc would be getting 25+min if he actually trusted his shoulder

Right about what?

You thought the series was over after Houston won the 2nd game...

Right about who the better teams are, and who wins games, and series. Accurate assessment of teams strengths and weaknesses. I said HOU in 6 or 7. I've predicted every series correctly. I predicted HOU would be the #1 seed, and win the Championship. I also call out the BS narratives of the 'Stacked' team hype created by those who just want to mock the Dubs. Seeing this is not even that difficult.

I agree somewhat...people just assume GS is this super team, but we all know its KD and Curry and a big drop off after that....sorry but a super team doesnt score 12 pts at home w all the momentum

Klay Thompson is a top 15 player in the league.

Yup, lol, might get an airball or just make it. Players actually struggle with the intentional misses. There's a much smaller area to hit if you are trying to hit the rim than if you are trying to make the shot

Fair enough. I've played my fair share, but never actually tried to intentionally hit the front of the rim.

Not a hot take at all.

His ineffectiveness is the result of them going to a lot of KD ISO/post ups, but also that the Rockets are letting Curry and KD go one-on-one without much help and staying put on Klay so he doesn’t hit those two or three back breaking threes.

Yeah, if you’re going to give it to him to create then he’ll be useless in the playoffs.

Obviously the Warriors did some things wrong down the stretch, but the Rockets also played incredible, incredible D in that 4th quarter. You’ve gotta give them some credit too. Even Harden was contesting incredibly well on every play.

Curry
KD
CP3
Davis
Cousins
Leonard
Aldridge
PG-13
Westbrook
Oladipo
Embiid
Mitchell
Draymond
Wall
Lowry
Irving
Horford

are all better than him

and I may have forgot someone.

Did something happen after the game finished? I turned it off but looking at the posts did they add time to the clock after rockets celebrated?

Doesnt matter how it usually us. He sucked tonight, his average wont save him for TONIGHT.

Think about this logically. Both teams scored under 100 points and Durant had 27 points on 24 shots, he played good.

Draymond Green had 5 turnovers and Klay went 4/13 - those 2 areas are much worse than KD. Let's not automatically blame Steph and KD always.

For the record, my original post wasn't blaming KD, as I don't believe isolation ball is inferior to ball movement. I was just pointing out that OKCs isolation style while KD was there was in large part because of KD (and RWB), and the perception that KD was simply trapped in an iso system is false.

No, this the low-hanging fruit the Rockets are sacrificing to the Warriors to stop them playing their game. They are making it a point to stop the Warriors from playing their way and cutting off the passing lanes. They never really played iso-KD until these Rockets came along. You’ve all seen OKC play so embarrassingly this season and a lot of the fault definitely lies in Westbrook. KD is all about analytics and making the smart play. He was trapped in Westbrook’s low BBIQ, selfish game.

He should only shoot when at least decently open, for some reason he thinks otherwise, but he did make some nice defensive plays

I thought Green played well overall, he was a game high +14. He took some tough shots but that's just part of his game like JR Smith.

Yeah people criticizing Gerald Green tonight are clueless. That's his role on their team, to take shots.
The shots he took tonight are the ones he has taken (and made) since joining their team.
Plus his defense was impressive tonight too.

They lost in '16 and won in '17....TBD in '18 and in a series tied 2-2...thats not a super team

People acting like klay can be a star and be a franchise face of a team is fooling themselves. This guy is as good as he will ever be on this team. He is Kyle Korver with real good defense.

It's funny to hear people say this but then next game he drills 7 3s in the first half and all of a sudden hes amazing.

Calling him a role player is a joke. He just has never had a chance to get in a rhythm. Blame Durant and curry, blame the rockets. Guys like him (knockdown spot up shooters) rely heavily on rhythm. When they are dropping they are unstoppable

Good for Houston for gutting out the win. I honestly didn't expect them to tonight after the third Q.

GSW: 14 assists; 16 turnovers. Yes Kerr should have called a timeout. KD passing the ball like it was a hot potato and pinching Klay on the side was a colossal breakdown, but the game was about all the plays that led up to the final possession, and along the way, they had good enough stretches to position themselves to win, yet they went away from their game on both ends too much (especially on O), away from their identity too easily.

They weren't precise and focused enough throughout the game to do the little things right: poorly chosen quick shots, not enough passing to create multiple threats on the floor, allowing the Rockets to penetrate (and credit to Houston for it, too) and to attack Curry and get him out of the game, not protecting the ball, getting outhustled. And no offense, but it's not like the Rockets were unbeatably amazing: they doubled down on their style, had a SEVEN player rotation, and only two starters in double figures. Gordon (albeit with essentially a starter's 35 minutes) scored 14 off the bench and single-handedly outscored the Warriors bench.

It's about mitigating mistakes and executing, and GSW had too many of the former, not enough of the latter, whereas the Rockets ended up doing better in both. Talk of turning on a switch or doing it when it counts most is exposed for regular season boredom (at times) that perhaps has instilled some bad habits. I'm no longer as sure of the Warriors' identity; it sort of comes and goes. That should always be on, but GSW allowed the Rockets to impose their game, and got into playing it themselves, to their detriment.

Maybe it'll be a wake up call for the Warriors like the Rockets loss at home was for them.

CP3 got fouled in mid-air when grabbing the rebound
so they put 0.5 sec on the clock
CP3 missed the first and made the second free throw
GSW timeout
Curry catch and shoot but missed, don't matter, his foot is on the line it would be 2 anyway
