Does anyone know if there are any players in this draft that started playing basketball late?

To rehash an old joke, probably Matur Maker.

Are there any stretch 4s in this entire draft? Is Jaren Jackson Jr and Kevin Hervey the only ones?

Jontay Porter and Moritz Wagner.
Hervey is one of my sleepers for this draft but I kind of want to know if his lack of athleticism is a style (play conservatively due to previous injuries) or if he was totally robbed of this athleticism.

I don't know about start time but Kevin Knox was a big-time football recruit as recently as his sophomore year of high school. It's kind of crazy how much more specialization there is in basketball compared to even 10 years ago, as that's pretty much the closest I can think of to someone who was 'late to basketball.' Ayton started playing at 12, and I'd guess there are more players in this draft who were playing national AAU events and training with skills coaches 5-6 years ago than those who hadn't played any organized basketball by then.

I saw the movie “Amateur” on Netflix the other day and there was a scene when the main character (an amatuer high school player) was talking to one of his friends via webcam who was from another country and the guy admits he’s like 5 years older. I laughed pretty hard at that moment. Reminded me of Thon.

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
Bates-Diop is one of my favorite players in this draft. I think there’s a chance he’s really really good in the NBA. The space is going to open up his jumper and his passing. He has advanced moves that will translate and he’s a good offensive rebounder. He can also switch. If he wasn’t a step slow and 22 years old we’d be talking about him as a high lottery pick.

I’ve never been so optimistic about so many players in a draft. This is a good one.

His standing reach is also a half inch greater than Draymond's.

Robinson is more similar to Justin Holiday to me, but he’s a better version of Justin Holiday. Better passer, tighter handle and more athletic. They have the same speed, same size and same kind of defensive potential. Thin frames. I could see Robinson as a really solid 3&D player. Like starter-level.

Re: NBA Draft 2018 II
I think he's definitely the best of the bunch, but I don't see heaps that meaningfully separates Robinson from guys like Trent Jr., Trier or Newman as a prospect.
I think he can definitely be a solid scorer in the NBA, don't see much else of value out of him, though.
