I think Luka is a preety decent leaper as well, you can see it from these highlights, aspecialy in the cases of #4 and on, where he takes off of one foot.

P.S.: Sorry for I only found this MS Paint/Windows movie maker video, wasn't me

What a coincidence, Ayton was a PG too. Even when he got bigger they kept training him as a PG (According to his HS coach).

Feels like everytime Luka goes for a dunk he gets smacked on the forehead :D

Harden had the same max reach as Blake Griffin and displayed top flight athleticism in short burst drills at the combine, so he does have the explosive first step to blow by anyone as well as the ability to go from 100 to 0, stopping on a dime.

Holy hell batman!!! Sounds like Doncic. He knows how to score and get by people better than almost any Euro player people have seen and like 8th in Euroleague in steals.

Doncic might be able to do half the things Harden does in the NBA. Harden is such an elite 1v1 player (1.27 points per possession on 32.9% frequency) that when he is in isolation he scores more points more efficiently than: Giannis, Lebron, or Westbrook in transition, Embiid posting up,Klay or Steph coming off of screens,Drummond on putbacks and AD rolling to the rim out of P&R

No projected lottery player was more surprising at the combine than James Harden. Many scouting reports on Harden say that he’s not athletic, but his results say otherwise. First, he recorded a 37” vertical and reached the same maximum height (11’8.5”) as Blake Griffin. Second, he ran a 3.13 sprint, which was only one hundredth behind speedster Ty Lawson, and repped 17 on the bench press.

I know Memphis already had OJ Mayo but damn they really botched that one.

are you talking about the 19 year old Harden or the soon to be MVP 29 year old Harden?

What I'm saying is I don't Doncic will ever come close to touching prime Harden's all time great offensive dynamism, even though there is some slight stylistic similarity. He is like a rich man's Hayward with worse D which is a coveted player but not close to being on the same level. Teen Harden was a beast

I feel pretty confident that Doncic will put up better rookie numbers than Harden (9.9pts, 3.2rbs, 1.8asts). Doncic might have a better passing game at the same age too.

Harden was also a better shooter as a teenager. He was great at creating space and it seemed like he never missed.

Dean Demakis is the king of the hot take, but a tl east he puts some thought on his reasonings.
He's REALLY low on Mikal and super high on triple J/Zhaire.

I don't disagree. I just think its hard to compare players at different ages. In the NBA, experience is worth so much

Even the Klay v Booker comparisons. I get they are two different players but I think sometimes when people do that comparison - they are comparing a 28 year old 8 year veteran to a 21 year old player in his third year.

Even Gordon Hayward comparisons - Hayward was a junior when he came in the league

I think the Lamar Odom to Doncic was good comp.

Comparing 18/19 year old Harden playing in college , against what Luka did this season is steel not fair to him.Would his three point percentage been better if he played Luka MVP role this year in EL? i know , impossible to know.I wouldn't bet on it.

Only game he played by NBA rules(3 seconds)and NBA space...
Yeah he's number weren't unbelievable but i feel it's pretty clear that NBA space will help him so much.

http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=LFW&seasoncode=E2010

20 year old Rubio in his last season compared to Luka with 18 is....not close. But then again Rubio had much better production in rookie year then he did in his last season in europe , because same thing helped him.( all that while being historically bad shooter).

17 year old being able in few possession that he had against Oladipo in pick and rolle(one iso) to get wher he wanted on nba court is bloody impressive, this was almost two seasons ago and he didn't have time to rest or to visit P3..
(and obviously got much better in meantime)

Around 0:50..i know he's a bum but he played both leagues(i mean he kinda played in nba)..

"Space" argument is real like CJ even said. Does that mean he will start dunking and blowning by guys all the time? no , but it will make his life much easier. So much room to operator and hit every guy on the court.

At least we hired Kokoskov and are after the steps of Brown. I thought Sarver had changed. Now I can see he has not.
