I'm sure the Rockets have something to do with that and kudos to them for playing well. Still the turnovers and lack of decisiveness during the critical moments seem to indicate a Warriors team that is wishy-washy in its dominance. My respects to Jordan and the Bulls, when they were on you could sense they had kicked their game to a higher gear. The Warriors are giving off a casual vibe in comparison in this series even though it is widely seen as the real finals. If the Warriors lose this series, they deserve to lose based on how they have played up to now.
If there's anything to a team taking on the personality or attitude of either its coach or most prominent (for whatever reason) personality, then GSW seem to be in transition from a Curry/Klay-team oriented system, to a KD-centred one, and for some reason Kerr seems to be ok with it. As I type, this is I think KD's fifth possession to score in a row. The beautiful decisive ball movement we've grown accustomed to seeing, and the more egalitarian scoring style only appears now and again, to their detriment.
I thought this would be a series of contrasting styles, but it's really more a mirror, with Houston being better at the style of play that they've been playing all year. They know who they are win or lose.
But Kerr just said, "I like where this is going." I don't put too much stock into any sideline interviews, but that still doesn't resonate the right way. We'll see if he still feels that way by the end of the game.
