defense needs to stay the same and james harden has to play like he did game 1 which is very unlikely

Maybe GSW will fall into a false sense of security now and the remaining Rockets will play desperate and pull it off :dontknow:

according to realgm and what they say about Curry, that means if CP3 plays in G7 then he's not injured right?

Harden isn't good enough to beat the Dubs without Paul. This is over. Too bad, Houston clearly deserved it.

I'm not one of the people that think curry is completely healthy but you cannot compare an injury cp3 got less than 24 hours ago to curry who has had quite a bit of time

yes as knee injuries are more severe than hamstrings. I mean if Jaylen Brown only missed one game, then everybody must be the same!

Lol love how he (rightfully so) assumes a game 7. Probably the right move to rest CP3 for game 6 and go all out for game 7

He totally slipped my mind for whatever reason, lol.

Not gonna blame you.

If anything, a player who plays 45mins locking down the opponent's most lethal weapon and a worldwide mismatch got slipped out your mind - I only see that as a compliment to a textbook unsung hero :D

Even if you think Curry is fully healed (and we have no reason to know whether or not that's true), it's physically impossible for him to be at NBA Playoff speed after missing 45 games. That's gotta shave at least 10% off being at 100%.

I think the Rockets should likely close this series out eventually however I’d be disappointed if the Dubz don’t come away with a Game 6 victory.
Just feels like the early season bad habits with complacency are still affecting the Dubz.

Hou looks hungrier, more focused and sticking with their game plan much better to the point it looks like the Dubz are thinking out there/a step slow.

Credit to Hou’ defense in the 4th Quarter of Game 4 and 5. They really made the Dubz look very pedestrian.

For a rosy Dubz outlook guess you can say we played like **** for most of the last two games Offensively and intermittent defense to lose by a combined 7 points. Still pretty close games.

As if anyone is 100% anyway at this stage of the season.

Correct me if I’m wrong but is MDA putting Gerald Green on Curry for most of when he’s out there? Felt like every time curry checked in, Green did as well and I know he came up with a few good stops on Steph in G4.

Curry is still injured right ? Or to be decided based on game results ?

Ive really enjoyed the last few games. full on handchecking, physical d, "low" scoring games in the 90's, teams having to earn every bucket. reminds me of the 90's.

Honestly I wasn't sure, because Green only played 15 minutes. Could be true, as a way to give the starters a breathing moment not having to chase around Curry.

It was mostly Harden and CP/Gordon checking Curry, and Ariza checking KD. Tucker spent most of his time on Draymond.

Btw, for a good 5-6 minutes, I think I saw a Kevon/Bell/Draymond/KD/Klay ultra big lineup. Anyone noticed that?

I think you and I are the only ones who aren't underestimating the Rockets. The fact that people still do is mind boggling. I had no idea there were so many casuals who don't know any better.

I am really impressed by the Rox ability to win a game like that with the MVP playing so poorly (offensively AND defensively). I thought they were clearly the better team and had clearly the better of play. Some TERRIBLE officiating kept the Warriors in it late and they missed a wild number of clean looks but the right team won. EJ, PJ, Cap, and Ariza were incredible in supporting roles. AWESOME defensively and all made big plays offensively.

Still, I'd be SHOCKED if the Rockets pulled this out. CP3 has had hamstring issues in the past. I cannot imagine it isn't a pretty severe one considering the biggest play of his life he couldn't even MOVE towards the right side of half court. Even a mild strain should keep him out for 4 days which would take him past G7. And frankly, they would have gotten DESTROYED the last two games without him. His impact on this team can't be overstated.

You clearly did not watch the game. Offensively, Harden was struggling but defensively he was good.

No. I could point out 15+ possessions where he was definitively the breakdown defensively. I was AMAZED at how good Gordon, Ariza, CP, Cap, and PJ were defensively. Golden State was given nothing and earned everything. Harden wasn't GGreen bad but this notion that he was bad on offense because he was a defensive stopper is just talk radio idiocy. He wasn't the train wreck he was in G1 but he was still the weakest link of the bunch. And GS clearly saw that as well as they gave up running a lot of their normal sets to attack him.
