That supermax he's getting is a big reason for staying. But is money the only thing that will keep him in San Antonio, or does he feel he needs his own team to prove his worth to the league and not the product of the "Spurs system"?

I just want to see this guy play basketball again. Watching these playoffs it feels like he's the most complete superstar outside of LeBron, there's no BS in his game at all and I miss watching that.

Sure, his rehab was that important he couldn't make a Spurs game yet 2 weeks after the last Spurs game he's just hanging out at a Dodger's game. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that wasn't his first day he'd been able to do something other then rehab(if that's what you want to believe for the reason he wasn't at Spurs games).
