if we get Mikal, who creates shots for him?
The more I think about it, I keep coming back to Miles.
We need an aggressor. He can start at the three but play a lotta four. Particularly with KP being out. He can be a second option if we play fast. Mikal’s length and shooting are tantalizing but does he project as a second option?
I dunno. I still don’t think we have the choice of the two when it’s said and done but if Mikal is off the board we should pick Miles or trade back a spot with Philly, pick up an asset and STILL get him.
Get Bonga with the second rounder.
Miles/Bonga/Twill would be a very intriguing trio to fit around KP and Frank long term. Scoring, playmaking and raw athleticism. Complimentary versatility. I really think Miles is and was Scott’s guy all along. And maybe that’s why Jeff was given the ambiguous rope of how to play guys/tank/whatever the whole time. Back end of the lotto and we still good. Maybe Luka’s lack of athleticism scares them. The big guys long term fits with KP. Porter’s back. The smallish stature of the PGs of interest. We have Lance Thomas playing waaaay too important a role on this team. Remove Lance and insert Miles. Give him featured responsibilities next to Tim. He might be a star. Scott Perry is gonna want his signature draft pick. I’ll say it again, Miles is to Scott and Frank is to Phil: his guy.
I’m ok with this.
