SGA here...

I like Trae Young, but I believe in all around game SGA is just as good. SGA is a better fit next to Monk

SGA over Trae is pretty wild to me. I know the knocks against Young but his ceiling is way higher than SGA. Worst case scenario I see Trae being shot creating 6th man.

Went SGA because this is my board for the Hornets. I wouldn't gamble on Young over SGA when the fit is so much better with SGA.

Trae got worse as his competition got better.

SGA got better all season long, even into the tournament.

SGA last 10 games (including conference and ncaa tourneys): 19.0/6.7/5.3 on 51.6/50.0/84.0 shooting splits... 11 FGA per game
Trae last 10 games (including conference and ncaa tourneys): 22.1/6.5/3.4 on 46.5/27.7/94.0 shooting splits... 18 FGA per game

Trae's team also finished the year 2-8 with a first round conference defeat and a first round NCAA defeat to Rhode Island while SGA's team finished the year 8-2 including a conference title and a Sweet 16 appearance.

Trae is small framed, frail, not very athletic, and a horrible defender who got buckets by flat out chucking it on a nightly basis. Whoever said Trae was Westbrook stuck in Steph Curry's body was 100% correct.
