And Wall being an MVP winner and the Wiz winning 50+ games every year. Doubt any of us would be eager to blow it up in that case.

Yeah, there's no comparison. The Caps are usually right up there - at or near the very top - in regular season records - year after year. Wiz have never come remotely close.

If that happened, I think some of us would either A-not make it to the game or B-not remember the game

I’m a long time (since the beginning) Caps fan and would love to go to a Stanley Cup finals game.

But nosebleed tix start in the $800s.

Thanks Ted. You’re a true man of the people.

Sure. Perhaps the officials thought the blatant cross check that led to the game tying goal was just part of the Vegas, vaguely medieval, vaguely swashbuckling pregame show.

I think we'll see a better Caps in game two. The one good thing they've been doing is in series adjustments. I don't see that 4th line being dominate anymore. Holtby needs to control those rebounds.

Bad defensive job in Game 1. I'm not going to complain about the refs. It is what it is. Play better and then worry about the refs.

What's with the lag on the Kuznetsov status? There's either a break or there isn't one.

My sense is that they never say. It’s either an upper body injury or a lower body injury and all players are always day to day.

You don’t want to tip your opponents off - they’ll certainly target a player’s sore spot and coaches will game plan based on who they think their counterparts will suit up.

I guess it could be a dislocation, but the fact he sat out the rest of the game is an indication that there's a problem. Fact is, if he can manage to hold a stick without screaming in pain, he'll probably end up playing before the series is over.

Once i broke a bone in my hand bicycling (and split my lip wide open crashing in the rain - still have a scar on my lip) and gutted out biking the 4 remaining miles home. Can't imagine playing hockey at the highest level in the world with a similar injury.

Nobody is going to remember that save if they don't finish the job but damn! Have been waiting for years for HoltBeast to win a game on his own in the playoffs. That was just remarkable. They are probably going to need him to win this series, especially if Kuzy is out or is limited due to "upper body" injury.

(Dr.) Ovie said Kuznetsov will be ok so, I think he'll just rub some Vodka (tussin) on it and get back in there. :D
