The Astros might win more games if they didn't bat Biggio leadoff. .284 OBP!?!? If they admitted he's done and at least put him at the bottom of the order, you'd be scoring more runs.

Without A-Ram, we're one of the worst offensive teams in the majors. This could be tough unless Patterson turns into Ryan Braun or something.

Players to watch.

Chris Burke is 5-for-7 in his career against Marshall with a homer.

Jason Kendall will likely be behind the plate. He's 5-for-14 with a .357 average this month, but he's also 18-for-35 lifetime (.514) against Williams with two doubles and one homer

Alright Cobs, Woody Williams is the NL leader in giving up home runs. Let's hit some homers.

Hello to everyone on the ride tonight...

I don't mind seeing Rammy and any other big contributor getting some rest against opponents like the 'stros.

We'll need it for later.

Honestly I don't think we've made our best run of the season. We have a 20 game run of 75% baseball left in us. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple guys turn it on for the Sept stretch run.

Of course I didn't mention that we would struggle somewhere from now till Labor Day; struggle as in more than 1 game back. We're the Cubs, its our nature.

We will win the division.

Something tells me our double play combination will soon be our 1-2 combo at the top of the order.

Soriano will be a power hitter untill he gets healthy... completely... playoff time or so.

ADD: Theriot walks, Fontenot basehit as I type.

Only getting one run here would be terrible.
