I tend to agree. This game 7 wont be pretty at all. Both teams are predictably exhausted, bruised and battered. A veritable war of attrition. The only thing one can add is a couple of overtime sessions. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs beat either team in the Finals, as the Dubs and Rockets are killing each other off.

Eh I don't think the Cavs have a chance of winning more than a game against either Rockets or Warriors. LeBron has played more games already and he's all they have

I think it's Lebron year. Felt this way for a while. Guess we will see later.

If it's the Cavs and GSW in the finals again this year I'm going to vomit.

I understand, but even knowing that i would play if i was the player, after the game you have 6 months to rest.

I think the issue is would he be a liability on the court. Along with possibly injuring it worse missing all of the finals

Who cares? We need CP for game 7, we don’t need him for the finals.

If you're the MVP with a Game 7 at home, you should be able to advance to the Finals.

Golden State is not unbeatable.
Tell that to last years MVP losing in 5 in the first round, or the 2016 MVP losing after being up 3-1 as well as losing game 7 at home.

Since when was it a rule that an MVP should win a game against a team people consider better while the second best player who allowed them to even be in this position will either be out or really limited? You're telling people to be objective, but you think this is an objective statement? Sure, the Warriors aren't unbeatable, but games aren't 1v1 battles. Harden could score 50 and the Rockets still lose. The fact that you keep referring to this as of its Harden alone and not the Rockets as a team is the problem in itself. You think the Cavs win if LeBron played like he did but Jeff Green doesn't show up or the Cavs can't defend?

The requirement is that Harden shows up and plays like an MVP. The actual outcome will be based on much more then just how he plays. If both teams play to their best, the Warriors likely win by double digits despite whatever Harden does, so that's a factor too.

LOL Westbrook getting the MVP last year was one of the biggest sports travesties I have seen. You're not going to get me to defend that one.

I never said it was a rule that the MVP should win every game. Stop trying to create a Strawman.

If you're really the most valuable player with a Game 7 in your house to get to the Finals, you should be able to win. That's what it takes.

If you wanna keep making excuses for him go ahead. This is Harden's legacy game. This is where he will be judged amongst the greats. Nobody is going to care/remember the circumstances 10 years down the line.

Harden needs to will his team to win. I saw Chris Paul do just that in Game 4 and 5 and hes not as talented as Harden is.

That the MVP should win game 7 at home!!!!!!!!! Since when was that a rule? When did I say every game? You're making up arbitrary requirements that lack context, it's dumb.

Let me tell you who will win the game 7.
The team that the referees slightly favor towards to...
The officiating will be crucial, a tiny bit favorism will play such a psyche to the other team...
The referees will decide the game 7!!!

I want the Rockets to win but I feel like this one isn't going to be close if Paul doesn't play. GS was really sloppy and bricked a lot of shots in the first half of game 6 and i don't expect them to play that poorly again.

The warriors are done. It’s such an irony that Lebron came through, only no warriors to meet

No word on Paul? He’s gonna look slow AF out there if he plays. If they don’t know by now then he’s probably still limping around. Damn.

Guessing Chris Paul will be a game time decision. He'll take part in shoot around and be evaluated.

Edit:

somewhat of an update:

Houston Rockets' coach Mike D'Antoni admitted that Chris Paul's recovery from a right hamstring strain is going well. That alone doesn't elevate Paul's status for Game 7. The point guard remains a game-time decision going into the 7th and final game of their series with the Golden State Warriors. Chris Paul suffered the injury during the final minutes of Houston's Game 5 Victory, when he felt a twinge upon landing awkwardly from a contested shot.

D'Antoni is said to be relying heavily on his medical staff, who are monitoring Paul's progress around the clock. "If I get the nod from the trainers, Chris and the doctors, then he'll be ready to go," D'Antoni said in a conference call with ESPN. Rather than be coy about his injury or list him as "questionable," the Rockets' staff have decided to take a more optimistic approach.
