Bone bruise.

So how long? I would have thought for sure he plays in a game 7, but if they win he gets an extra 3 days, big IF

Even if they advance I don't think he's coming back anytime soon.

Really doubt The Maestro plays tonight. Sure this might be his biggest game of his career yet, but he would also want to play many years well beyond this 1 game. No one should fault him for not being able to play. Health comes first.

With that said, there will be a lot of prayers tonight. And win or lose, I'm very proud of what the Rockets have done this season.

p.s.: Shout out to all the non-Rockets fans on RealGM who have shown tremenduous support for my favorite team. :D

As you should be. Heck of a team.

With a bone bruise, there is no set timeframe. Essentially he will remain out until he can run without pain. Right now it still hurts him to run. Once he is pain-free, he can return.

Rockets might have to break an NBA record tonight if CP3 is out.

Strange that they still don't know (or just aren't saying). Is there a time limit for when you have to announce starters or anything?

LOL at making the NBA Finals with a game 7 being "arbitrary."

Maybe arbitrary to you. Its not arbitrary to how people around the league will judge him.

People around the league? Or you? You admitted yourself that you aren't actually judging him on performance, just on outcome, so even if he sucks tonight and the Rockets somehow squeeze out a win, based on your logic, you will be crediting him, but if he plays great but the Warriors, who are the better team play better than his team, you are concluding that if will show him to not be an MVP. It's stupid logic and should be called out as such and others who use that logic should also be called out as using stupid logic, whether or not there are many people doing it. The majority doing something doesn't make it correct.

I'm judging him by finding a way to win.

No its not just me who will judge him.

The media and people in the NBA will blame him for not getting it done.

Like I said, 10 years from now nobody will remember the circumstances of how he got to the Finals. People will only remember that he got to the NBA Finals over a dynasty and likely won his first Championship.

Winners find a way to win.

MJ is the GOAT because he won 6 Championships. Nobody cares that Wilt put up better stats.

You can call it "stupid" all you want but the only one being stupid is you. We are judged by our circumstances as much as our abilities. Those who want to be great find a way to make the most of them.

If CP3 plays the Warriors need to attack him all first qtr. Test out that hammy. Wouldn't be surprised to see an accidental kick to the hammy either (you all know cp3 would do that)

Come on man not cool

“He’s trying his best” doesn’t sound good. Sounds like he’ll either be out or really limited.

CP3 shouldn't play tonight.

By all accounts hes not ready to go.

He's in a contract year and still has years left ahead of him. Don't risk it all for one game.

I really don't like Houston's two best players so I've been rooting against them all playoffs. Harden because I can't stand his cheap, borderline illegal game and Paul because he's a dirty player.

That said, Houston has played so much better defensively this series than I ever gave them credit for potentially doing and my hat's off to them. I'm really impressed with the toughness that their role players have shown all while Golden State choked away several games and disappointed the crap out of me. Paul even though I don't like him, showed a lot of grit this series and I have to respect his competitive drive. He's very old school on the court. I really should like him if anything. When he whacked Durant in game 1 and then acted like nothing happened he reminded me of the old dude at the YMCA who fouls hard on like every play and doesn't give a ****.

My head says Golden State wins this tonight fairly easily. I do have a gut feeling that Houston will win...though maybe I shouldn't trust gut feelings because I don't get a lot of them.

Again, I hope not but I'm feeling a Houston win. And then I'll take the Cavs to win it all in a grind out series with Paul out and LeBron abusing the lack of pressure against him.

If he plays Kerr needs to punish him by having whoever Paul is guarding be the recipient of a million screens.

Don’t let them hide Paul on defense.
