It is what it is. They hit their threes and we choked. Overall I feel we made great strides this season but in the end no cp3 in the last two games combined with the offensive firepower they had overwhelmingly was a deciding factor.

I think we will see Paul res-igned and go after Lebron or a Paul George as unlikely as that sounds.

Ariza has no business being a starter anymore.

Noway we don’t bring him back. You saw with him we had a 3-2 lead and without him helping harden it all went to hell in the second half of games.

From one of those "neutral fan":

The refs allowed the GSW to get back in the game. No disrespect to what the GSW accomplished. Their Defense improved a lot, the threes started to fall in, cut the turnovers, etc.... However, plenty ref calls were wrong, most to GSW side. Starting with the threes of James Harden. 6 FTs that he didnt shot and a 3and1 that didnt count either. Also a few loose balls called for the GSW. No calls when they attacked the rim and that were clearly a foul (mostly to Gordon and Harden) And that allowed the come back. Maybe it would have happened anyway but that we will never know.

You can also see it from the point of view that the rockets choked despite the refs. A few things that I didnt like, specially from the coaching point of view: You have Capella having a great offensive game and you just use him for a few lobs or to give him hot balls when no one else is free. There were lots of mismatches were Curry was guarding him and they didnt exploit that glitch. They kept shooting threes and missing ALL of them even to the point of setting a new record. 27 misses in a row when the game is down the strech? Come on coach, stop that! I will never understand why they dribble and dribble the ball from screen to screen to find 1 inch of space to shoot unbalanced threes with 20 seconds in the shooting clock.

Yeah, Rockets choked. 16% from three, 7/44. That's atrocious. I'm dissapointed. They gave GSW the finals on a platter.

Now there is nothing interesting about the upcoming NBA finals.

We all know the refs helped the Warriors a lot, but the Rockets didn't lose due to terrible officiating, they lost because they choked and missed 22 straight 3s, the ball movement stopped and they lived and died with the three. Terrible basketball, they didn't deserve to make the Finals with such a terrible style of basketball.

Harden is a disappointment.. Tucker and Ariza gotta go for younger players, they’ve lost a step. And they need to trade Anderson immediately.

LOL @ people blaming the refs. I wanted Houston to win, and that is not how they lost.

Abysmal shooting, shot selection, and playmaking is why they lost. Curry and Durant catching fire is why they lost.

The better team won.

Ryan Anderson playing minutes was a big part, funny how people were saying "why not play Anderson and use their depth", lol, well we saw exactly why.

i mean, a few open ones, but the majority of them were off rhythm, or turnaround heaves from distance that didn't have a prayer of going in

CP3 After Steph hit a lucky 3 in the first Quarter. Got this from the Warriors board. The Reaction on the Assistant Coaches face is hilarious.

For a bit there, I was thinking GS would need a 5th Hall of Famer to pull it out...

This is where the lack of a diversified attack kills the Rockets. If their 3's aren't dropping they don't have anything. They made 1 midrange shot all game long which is the only 1 they attempted.

You mean after the shot had been blocked by Draymond which makes Gordon a non shooter and just fighting for a 50/50 ball at that point? Looking for the refs to bail them out is Houston’s biggest burden to over come.

You really can't be serious. Dray hit him across the arm, then the ball went up. Go and pause when drays arm starts swinging down

There were a similar plays in the first half where both Looney and Bell had ball under hoop for put away and got hacked by Gordon or Capella horribly that were non calls, followed by a Harden drive that earned FTs on almost invisible contact.

I think some of the 3q calls were makeup calls after NBA reported uneven calls in first half. Cant complain about no calls on GS in 3rd without reviewing no calls on Houston in 1st half. I agree calls were inconsistent and that they seemed to reward aggressive defenders under the rim unless it was Harden or Durant driving to the hoop (and I agree they removed the 'touch me and its FTs armor in 3rd from Harden').

For example, Steph drove to basket many times this game and got contact almost every time (granted on his back, pushes mostly)...none were called for FTs. It was an oddly called game. I rewatched it, counted contact for calls or no calls and it did not appear uneven, overall.

Here is the verdict....

After further review, there were indeed multiple plays that the refs failed to blow the whistle on fouls against several Rockets players.

But upon conclusion of this review, these blown calls would have not altered the outcome of the game, no way Jose.

Rockets one-upped the chocking Celtics by missing 27 straight 3 pointers. Frankly I am shocked that the Warriors did not win by a wider margin.

End of discussion.

well to be fair, KD in 2016 against the dubs shot 42% Fg and 28% from 3, Harden in this series was at 41% and 26% from 3. I think they just both need a looot of help to be efficient. KD has that now. It is what it is

If Refs called it right and Rockets had a 20 point lead in the 3th I believe guys like Ariza would shoot with way more confidence and Harden would not be as gassed in the 4th. I hardly believe they would miss 27 3-pts if they had a big lead. Warriors were and are still the better team and they are not the reason Rockets sucked from 3 but you got to wonder how this game would be different if not the missed calls.
