Yeah I don't particularly like Knox but you'd have to give him strong consideration of he's still there at 17. The Tobias Harris comparisons are reasonable, if not being an exact match for the type of player but more so the level of player I think he might become. That's worth pick 17.

The Stepien PG analysis for 2018 draft. Here's thoughts on Okobo: (Link to entire article here: https://www.thestepien.com/2018/05/17/2018-draft-positional-breakdown-pgs/)

12. Elie Okobo
Games closely watched: 2 – Loosely watched: 0 – Confidence: Low

Expected Outcome: Okobo’s combination of positional size and pull-up shooting is intriguing, but he’s not quite big enough to play off-the-ball and is lacking in terms of feel and creativity as a point guard. Without the ability to bend a defense consistently or high-level decision making skills, Okobo doesn’t end up finding a place in the league.

Exceeds: Having made the transition to point guard relatively recently in his career, Okobo’s feel for changing speeds, manipulating defenses, and making good decisions with the ball continues to progress. In conjunction with his dynamic off-the-bounce shooting and adequate defense due to his size, Okobo turns himself into a solid backup lead guard. He doesn’t quite have the juice or quickness to be more than that, but it’s still a nice player. If his defense stood out more maybe he could be a George Hill type, but I think even in positive scenarios he’s more neutral than good on that end.

I'd say this is a low-side fair to midland assessment. But, it definitely is fair. I'm higher on Okobo offensively. I'm lower defensively.

Finally warming up to Huerter, hope he stays in. Would buy a 2nd to take the other Terp, Justin Jackson, as well--think he could be a great rebounding/defending 3/4 off the bench. Dare I say our own Klay and Dray lites.

Ringer-
Lacks elite first step, burst, and athleticism. So instead of attacking the lane, he end up settling for too many jumpers and floaters.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but doesn't the tweet imply that he is NOT staying in the draft? It says that as of a couple weeks ago, he was leaning towards being in the draft but a source tells Goodman that this has changed.

Yes, but then he followed it up with the tweet that ReasonablySober posted, saying that the expectation had been that Jontay would stay in the draft and has now changed his mind and is leaning towards returning to Missouri (which also goes along with what Missouri sources expect).

Edit: Just making it clear that the bolded is according to a source, not an official thing.

Seems like someone probably DM'd him after the first tweet, which lead to the 2nd tweet.
