Jacob Evans and De'Anthony Melton would be my 2 "DJ Wilsons" this year. No business either 2 has being drafted in the 1st round imo, although I wouldn't be shocked if both turned out better than Wilson longterm. Chandler Hutchison maybe, too.

Yeah I gotta say I've "looked into" about 3 guys from the entire late lotto+ pool with Melton being one and he does nothing for me. Said it earlier, he seems like a poor mans Delon Wright.
I'm still high on Melton, but that guy Wagner that played with DJ in Michigan is got to be the next DJ.

There are no DJ Wilson's for me, thinking of a DJ Wilson as a first rounder with a fatal weakness.

Everybody has flaws but none as problematic as DJ's play strength at his size.

Im starting to doubt my judgement on Huerter being a good pick, what if he's the next Stauskas or RJ Hunter? I was so wrong on Stauskas I was sure he was going to be valuable in the league.

If you are to compare college experience (3 years), production (11 Pts, 5.3 rebounds, good shooting efficiency), and rising about 30 spots in the draft to late teens or early 20s after their final NCAA college tournament, that would be Donte DiVincenzo.

New DX Mock:

1 - PHO - Ayton
2 - SAC - Bagley III (??)
3 - ATL - Jackson Jr.
4 - MEM - Doncic
5 - DAL - Bamba
6 - ORL - Young
7 - CHI - Carte Jr.
8 - CLE - Porter Jr.
9 - NYK - Sexton
10 - PHI - Mik Bridges
11 - CHA - Mil Bridges
12 - LAC - Gilgeous-Alexander
13 - LAC - Walker IV
14 - DEN - R. Williams
15 - WAS - Knox
16 - PHO - Z. Smith
17 - MIL - Holiday
UCLA
Age: 21.6
PG

Height: 6-foot-1 | Weight: 187

With Eric Bledsoe approaching the final year of his contract, the Bucks could look to find a point guard who complements their existing pieces and whom they can build around for the long term.

Holiday had an outstanding junior season, and he would bring a number of attractive traits with his microwave scoring ability, long wingspan and toughness. The fact that he can space the floor and play off the ball is important, considering the building blocks the Bucks have in place.

Picking Holiday would be pretty rough. Think he might be the basketball equivalent of a AAAA player.

Holiday is probably like #6 or 7 on my list of realistic options, but he is at least on the list of guys I wouldn't be pissed about.

Jontay missing from that mock, making me extra worried he's going back to Mizzou.

Dunno how you could watch tape of Okobo and Holiday and come to the conclusion that Holiday will be the better NBA player.

I like Holiday at the end of the 1st. I don't like him at 17.

IMO if you have a player as a late 1st, you don't like him as much as you think.

At this point I think I'm either combining #17 and an asset to move up to 12th or 13th with LA, or I'm just shopping the pick outright for a future, protected 1st. Guys like Holiday, DiVincenzo, and Milton do absolutely nothing for me...

Yeah I honestly really like him at 17. If he doesn't develope much he's a stretch 4/5 hybrid bench option for 4 years, which is honestly not that bad. And if he does he can easily be a starter.
