June 1-3: Blue Jays next mission: Make Comerica Great Again

Post#1 » by dagger » Thu May 31, 2018 3:27 am

Pssst... Want to buy some dirty blue jay pictures? Okay, how about some cheap seats to watch them play, and Rogers doesn't get a dime of your money. It's Detroit, baby. Duh-Twa to you ex-Montrealers. Youppi!

Friday, June 1, 7:10 pm
Jaime Garcia (2-3, 5.32 ERA) vs Blaine Hardy (1-0, 2.70 ERA)

Saturday, June 2, 4:10 pm
Jay Happ (7-3, 3.84 ERA) vs Matthew Bpyd (3-4, 3.00 ERA)

Sunday, June 3, 1:10 pm
Aaron Sanchez (2-5, 4.77 ERA) vs Michael Fulmer (2-4, 4.60 ERA)

This ends the long road trip and allows the Jays to return home to the friendly confines of the Rogers Centre (where they have one of the worst home records in the majors) and get to play the DAMN YANKEES.

This season is so weird. I get the feeling like we are worse than last year. and that team had goins and barney!

If this team is full strength we could look to unload alot of guys this deadline. I cant wait until the draft and the deadline...

I get a sense we are going to win somewhere between 0-3 games, inclusive, in this series. I will finalize my prediction after the third game is over.

We're not sending our best.

I'm tired of winning.

Raptors hire their coach yet? I'm done with the Blue Jays this season.

Little less than 28k a game. Was 39.5k last year, 41.9k in 2016.

Can we please call up Vlad? Let him see what major league pitching is like. If struggles you send him back down.

No one expects him to struggle. However, if you call him up now, you're trading Vlad's age 26 season for a few months at age 19 on a team going absolutely nowhere. We all want to see him in the bigs, but a bit of patience is needed.

LF T. Hernandez (R)
3B Y. Solarte (S)
1B Justin Smoak (S)
DH Kendrys Morales (S)
CF Kevin Pillar (R)
C Russell Martin (R)
2B Devon Travis (R)
RF Randal Grichuk (R)
SS Aledmys Diaz (R)

Return of Grichuk and Diaz helps quite a bit. Has everyone in their natural position or best position. Now need JD and Tulo back.

Am guessing urshela is dfa'd and smith jr sent down.

Good to have Diaz back for his defense. He's had a hot bat in AA too.

I guess Grichuk has sucked enough in AA to merit the start tonight. Or maybe his maximum rehab time expired... not sure.

I guess Garcia thought the bullpen was too well rested after the day off yesterday. Best to get them some work.
