"We are not the naming rights sponsor"

Officially denied by high-ranking spokesperson at Fiserv.

Is it possible that this is wordplay? "We are not the naming rights sponsor[... yet]"?
You mean like the Bucks saying there is no coaching search because Joe Prunty is our coach?

My guess is that since the deal isn't officially finalized, that they will say that they are not the arena naming rights sponsor.

Reporters should've asked the follow-up question, "Are you going to be the arena naming rights sponsor?"

I don't think they would come out with such a strong denial if they were the naming rights sponsor but it hadn't been officially finalized.

You know at first I though, "no way" to Kwik Trip. But they do $4.5 billion in business annually-that's a lot of revenue. I know they have experienced rapid growth over the past eight years, so maybe it's not all that far fetched.

Yes but that is gross sales. There is almost NO markup on gas which has to be an enormous percentage of sales. So don't get presumptuous on how profitable they are based on most of that volume being barely profitable at all.

Love it. Could call it the "wesky".

Fitting that the MBJ story says the Bucks tried to get more money and had to come back begging for a smaller deal.

With the Outdoor Neighborhood Serving Intoxicants North right next door things would be perfect.

Obviously that's gross sales. My point was that they're not a mom-and-pop operation and most certainly have the financial resources to sponsor the arena if they wanted to do so.

And, yes, while a significant portion of their total revenue is gasoline sales, if you've ever been in a Kwik Trip, you know that they make an awful lot on grocery sales. Additionally, the company also runs about a dozen Hearty Platter restaurants and cafes, some 40 Tobacco Outlet Plus (TOP) cigar stores and car washes at some of their store locations.

They have ample revenue streams.

Has Kohler been mentioned at all? Not sure if they’ve confirmed they weren’t in or not. They have the money to do it if they want, and they’re a super international company.

How does an incorrect news story reflect poorly on the Bucks?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Failing to be disappointed that the Bucks new arena will not be named after an abbreviation for "Financial Services", oh no

Could be worse I guess, the Cavs named theirs "quicker loans" or something like that

I don't know. I think arena names are kind of cool.
