This season shot 41.1% from 3 on 4.6 attempts (Kevin Huerter 41.7% on 5.5 attempts)

2 point percentage increase by season is impressive
2015-16 49.6%
2016-17 56.8%
2017-18 63.9%

Shot 78.8% on free throws this year but he didn’t get to the line much just 2.6 attempts per game

53.8% from the field on 10.4 attempts per game

2x Big East defensive player of the year

A good defender who can shoot, hmmm too good to be true.
What is his achilles?

Can't get his own shot from deep, not much of a ball handler, still a "role player" type (albeit a great role player) after 3 years in college. He's kind of a poor man's Mikal Bridges in a lot of ways, body types aside.

Creating his own shot and playmaking, he's the kind of player that shouldn't have the ball in his hands very long in an NBA offense. Not yet at least, he's smart moving off the ball which helps him get open shots which he can hit.

Size, he's just under 6'4" which isn't a big deal to me since he has a 6'10.5" wingspan but he's below average there.

Age, he just turned 22.

He's athletic but not elite when it comes to that, I think that covers his negatives.

When you say he shouldn't have the ball in his hands you mean like Snell bad?
I mean is he like Snell with better off the ball game?

He averages 2.8 assists per game and 1.8 TO's on low usage. Still finds a way to score 15 points a game on efficient shooting. He's not awful with the ball but he knows that isn't his game. The ball leaves his hands pretty quickly if he doesn't have anything. Kind of like Snell I guess but I think he's better with the ball than Snell. To me he has a chance to become Avery Bradley if he works on creating offensively.

He is a pest defensively though, fights through screens very well and is just constantly forcing tough shots. And he's defended some of the players in this draft. I think he has All Defensive Team potential with efficient shooting. Why he's number 1 of the players listed for me.

Mitchell Robinson should be added to the Poll. Athletic unknown with high upside and good physical tools is a staple of the Bucks' draft strategy.

I think he's more likely to go at the end of the 1st or in the 2nd, but I'll exchange him after a couple days if someone else only has a few votes.

Mitchell Robinson workout videos are insane. Just loafing around dunking from the FT line with ease.

I'm way more bothered by Thomas size than I should. I have Okobo ahead of anyone and Melton/Spellman as distant seconds.

I shared some of his shooting numbers, here are some clips of his defense. You can find even more clips if you search "Khyrifense", that's what Creighton fans called it. There are some more Khyri Thomas defense related videos out there.

Turk Nowitzki wrote:Is it bad that I really want to buy a pick in the 2nd for Kostas Antetokounmpo? Just for the small chance that he turns out to be 75% as good as Giannis with a couple years of Suki Hobson strenth training and professional development.

I also really think some team ends up in love with the last name and drafts him way higher than expected.

I just don't see why anybody drafts him. I get he is tall, but he is a total stiff. Isn't crazy athletic, isn't skilled, years away from being ready to be a good NCAA college player.

Can't even start for Dayton due to being bad at basketball. In college, he couldn't shoot (13% from three, 52% from FT line), couldn't pass (13 assists vs. 39 TOs last season), could't dribble, couldn't rebound. Is also skinny and not that strong. He is a basically an anorexic Kendrick Perkins after the Monstars took his talent.

Why not just go after Bruno Caboclo? A million times better. Or Josh Cunningham, a Dayton player that I'm sure dominated Kostas at every practice. Or Thanasis - he is a thousand times better than Kostas and is more athletic as well.

Kostas is unlikely to ever appear in an NBA game and is unlikely to ever be a good player in the G League - I am not sure he ever even starts a game in the G League.

Saw those, they were having him try to get to the rim off of one dribble from the opposite 3 point line. And he was. I really hope the Bucks brought him in for a workout because he's such an unknown, need to get a better look at him.

How does Thomas project defensively at PG?

Not ideal. Too slow, will get beaten. His skillset is more suited to defend wings and forwards while size-whise he should defend 1's and 2's. That is my disconnect with him. Though to be fair if he was a few inches taller he wouldn't be available where we pick.

I think he's going to be great defending PG's, I watched him vs Villanova defending Jalen Brunson. Forced a ton of tough shots and locked him down in OT. You have him play off the ball offensively and put him on the best guard defensively, maybe even 3's.

First tier - Spellman, Okobo, Okogie
Second tier - Brown Jr., Hutchison, Thomas
Third tier - Robinson, DiVincenzo, Williams

Should be able to get two of these guys with a trade down w/ the Hawks (using Bud's connections like w/ Dedmon) or just buy a highish 2nd. I don't see big separation here, but no shortage of reliably useful players or boom-busts w/ a realistic shot at booming.

I really don't want any of those guys at 17. Trade down if those are the options.
