LOL. No. I don't know if you don't read/watch sports pundits but I promise you that's not the consensus.

I dunno man. I’ve heard one person call it a charge. Whatever though. We all hear what we want to hear.

Go read the thread about it. Majority know it was a block. That wasn’t the issue. It’s because it got reviewed.

At the end of the day, Hill and Jr fudged up.

If Iguodala is out the whole series James can average 50-10-10 in the Finals.

I hope the Cavs smash them up to a bloody pulp in game 2.

It's amazing how many people "feel sorry for Lebron" because he doesn't have an amazing supporting cast.
Just because your a superstar doesn't entitle you to an automatic superb supporting cast.

Where were all of you guys when Kevin Garnett had garbage teams surrounding him for the first 12 years of his career?! Those teams were way worse than this Cleveland team. How come no one felt sorry for him?

Also next time you feel sorry for his team, remember how he has handpicked his teams for the past 7 years

Complaining about refs is for losers. Cavs didn't lose the game because of the refs. They lost because JR Smith dropped his brain while going for that rebounds, wasting a 51-8-8 game from James.

Tbh after watching the replay a few more times, I honestly believe JR got the baskets switched up and was going to coast to coast. Still a boneheaded and inexcusable play. He told LeBron he thought they were up ahead, because if he told him he got the baskets mixed up he'd look like an ever bigger idiot.

Literally not one of these people said “it was a charge”. Like I said, most are mad that the (judgement) call got reviewed in the first place.

The SI article even says “ultimately it was the right call”. It was a block, the refs saw it was after looking at the reply.

I agree it was poorly officiated tho. He wasn’t even close to the restricted area to warrant a review.

My thoughts are that the crew thought it was better off to use that as an excuse to review it because they wanted to get the call right and couldn’t all agree.

They were dammed if they did or didn’t. Being a ref is tough.

For most people, it's not a function of feeling sorry for him; it's a recognition that he's playing the sport at a level rarely ever seen. For many of us (certainly for me), there's an awareness that a certain contingent that harbors an irrational hatred for him wants to capitalize on the disparity between the two teams to deny his individual greatness if the team corporately fails to win the title.

They don't want him to be great; they would rather edit the narrative to say that because this entire group of players, coaches, trainers, and executives didn't achieve the collective objective, it can't possibly be the case that he is personally great.

So the buzz about the caliber of his team is as much a recognition of his superlative play (seriously, people who can't objectively appreciate it just because they don't like him aren't even basketball fans at this point; they're anti-fans--fans of hating a player) as it is a backlash against that figurative cancer on the sport landscape. Subcultures like that make sports objectively worse.

Refs were pretty bad last night. And I didn't complain once about the refs through the entire Celtics/Cavs series and don't believe they were a factor.

And in a way I kinda expect Lebron to get a few favorable calls his way in any series since he is Lebron James. I am kinda shocked at times how disrespected he gets vs. the Warriors.

I'm sure Perkins would've run onto the floor and speared him before he could get a shot off.

I would bench JR and Clarkson and give Hood and Cedi a chance and Korver more minutes. I mean they’re going to lose anyway . Might as well see what the two of them got. I think they’ll give more than JR and Clarkson.

Two more tweets that still don’t say “it was a charge”

I thought that’s what you were originally saying, that most people were calling it a charge. But that’s not the case, most people agree it was a bad call to review.

The charge/block call was a 50/50 call but no justification for overturning original call and yes this may be a bit biased as someone rooting for Cleveland but for the sake of the nba as a whole you don't basically take away a game 1 win from the huge road underdog which would've actually built a little intrigue into the series.

Yeah, we just played the defending champs, in their arena, even through 4 quarters. I wouldn't say there's nothing to lose. Things can get much worse against the Warriors.
