I am in a state of 'I don't know' at present. I've sifted through a lot of full games and partial games. I'm at a complete place of reconsideration. Trent Jr., Milton, Hutchinson, Evans, Robinson, and Diop all need to be in the conversation.

Damn. That's an impressive array of defense. Like, very very impressive.

So that's where Andy Kendeigh is working nowadays.

Looks very Oladipo like on D IMO.

Switched one of my votes from Troy Brown to Okobo. I have a pretty solid top 5 right now of
1. Okogie
2. Bates-Diop
3. Okobo
4. Huerter
5. Troy Brown

Mitchell Robinson is the other name I kind of like because of his potential although I also think he has a high bust risk.

I have really cooled on Divencenzo. Not much of a fan of Zhaire or Aaron Holiday. I really dislike Melton has a prospect, probably more than any other prospect in our range.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Khyri Thomas is my pick for now of the 5 or 6 guys I've decided to look at.

Khyri Thomas for me too
Poor man's Oladipo, if he can improve his athleticism a little (like Oladipo did) he can be very good.

I wish we also had a lower pick of Divicenzo.

Oladipo was a *ridiculous* athlete at Indiana. Thomas is a fine athlete but he's not half the athlete Oladipo was at his lowest point. This is similar to comparing Westbrook's athleticism to Wade Baldwin's.

I’ll be doing some fan YouTube scouting of Grayson Allen in the week ahead. Yes, I know where the mocks have him.

He just feels like one of those guys someone will draft at 22 and end up with a Dan Majerle caliber player.

I don't get the love for Donte. He measured at 6'4.5 with surprisingly low wingspan, has been at best average on defense and doesn't project to be a good defender at the next level either. He tested better athleticly than many expected (including me) but he hasn't really shown that that is functional athleticism. His jumper is pretty good but it's at a point where it gets overstated imo. His numbers from the line are a bit worrysome for me for someone who gets pegged as an elite shooter. He has some potential as a tertiary handler and playmaker but you have to really like his chances of improving on those skills to draft him above others in his range.

E.g. I can't see how one would draft him over Lonnie Walker, who has more potential as a PoA defender imo, has the wingspan advantage and of course is two years younger. If you want someone who can play a role immediately Thomas is a much better bet as he outclasses Donte on D. If you're betting on potential Zhaire offers more upside imo and if you really like what Donte brings there is Allen who's marginally worse at best but could go 20 spots later. I feel like he only gets so much hype due to their tournament run. And if you really value that, Malik Newman had a better showing in the tournament and also offers a similar skillset. Kansas just didn't win it all.

Going on record if Carter falls to 10 and we don't make a move it will come back to bite us. This guy is the perfect fit next to Giannis. Not only does our 5 need to be a respectable shooter plus passing is almost as important. In fact I would say shot blocking is at least third on the list of skills our center need. Skills our center needs.
1a. Rebounding
1b. Shooting
2. Low post defender
3. Shot blocking/ passing
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.

Majerle was a fantastic three point shooter in college knocking down 45% his senior year (Allen was 37% overall). He also shot 53% from the field overall (Allen was at 43%) and averaged a double-double his senior year with 24-11. Let’s not put this scrub’s name anywhere near in the same sentence with Thunder.

Heh. I figured this reaction would be coming. Same fire blasts I got in 2008 when advocating Brook Lopez to the Bucks and hearing stories about how he’d spend the entire offseason at Disney after fouling out of every game. There are certain college players fans hate. We hate Allen because of UW. Many in WI hated the Lopez brothers for crushing MU in the tournament.

One note to your commentary on Majerle’s stats. He compiled those stats for Central Michigan. Grayson Allen put his up at Duke, while crushing our Badgers in the NCAA championship game. The was a massive difference in the competition each guy went up against every night.

That’s true, but there are plenty of prospects in our range who played against similar competition and put up significantly better shooting numbers and weren’t complete defensive liabilities on the perimeter. That championship game was three years ago and Allen peaked in his sophomore year before having two more mediocre seasons at Duke. Add to that the fact that he has the emotional stability of a 13 year old girl and completely lost his mind and screamed at his coach on a televised game...

I’m just not a fan of him as a person or a player.

He's the 5th best player in the entire draft IMO, I'd take him over Bagley.
