Also FA is after the draft.

Idk if I were to go by today I'd say the draft goes Ayton, Doncic, Bagley and Memphis trades the pick.
Bagley+Collins might be the worst defensive big man pair in the history of the league, can’t see that happening
I don't think that you base your decision on who to pick on Collins.

Then I’d trade Collins on draft night because they will inevitably share time on the floor together and you will throw whatever value Collins has right in the dumpster lol. I don’t know where you even start to design a defense around those two

The ultimate tanking commanders. But honestly Collins sucks. I don't see a way for him to stick in a starter role.

LuessiT wrote:I don't get the love for Donte. He measured at 6'4.5 with surprisingly low wingspan, has been at best average on defense and doesn't project to be a good defender at the next level either. He tested better athleticly than many expected (including me) but he hasn't really shown that that is functional athleticism. His jumper is pretty good but it's at a point where it gets overstated imo. His numbers from the line are a bit worrysome for me for someone who gets pegged as an elite shooter. He has some potential as a tertiary handler and playmaker but you have to really like his chances of improving on those skills to draft him above others in his range.

You wouldn't take Bagley, though, and neither would I.

He just feels like one of those guys someone will draft at 22 and end up with a Dan Majerle caliber player.

Not only does our 5 need to be a respectable shooter plus passing is almost as important. In fact I would say shot blocking is at least third on the list of skills our center need. Skills our center needs.
1a. Rebounding
1b. Shooting
2. Low post defender
3. Shot blocking/ passing
Welcome to the club
If by low post defender you mean keep him in the post all game then yeah. Get him out of the paint or in a pick and roll and he is useless. Duke went to the zone because him and Bagley were continuously shredded defensively. That type of play won’t cut it in the NBA

I actually liked a lot of passes he maded. If he slims down even further, I can easily see him starting at the 4 spot with time. Just solid all around.
