I wish we could trade TJ Warren for Mikal Bridges. That's the kind of wing I want coming off the bench.

McD jump on that!
then move Pick 14, 16 and 2019 Unprotected for Pick 4!!!
Not enough
I do think with most teams in cap hell and having multiple picks we could definitely leap frog picks and put together a decent package for Memphis- who are rumoured to wanna trade down. How I’d do it. 31st & Troy Daniels for Timberwolves 20th pick. Thibs doesn’t love rookies and the wolves get a replacement for Jamal Crawford.( i love the 31st pick due to the cash implications and the talent depth from 16th onwards til the second round, however, if we have to trade it with Daniels to move up so be it) I’d then offer the 16th & 20th pick for the hornets 11th pick. The two picks helps the potential rebuild they are facing or helps them get off a huge contract. Now armed with the 11th pick & 14th pick plus all the future picks we own I think we’d have enough to put a decent package together. The Ayton & Doncic dream lives on. We bank our whole future on Doncic. But if the front office think he is worth it, I’d be happy to go all in.
I know anything can happen but the Hornets would have to be enamored with someone in the mid lottery to consider trading away from someone like one of the Bridges, Knox, or Sexton. I just don't see it.
If we couldn't get a first for Bledsoe, there's no way Minny is trading a near mid pick for Daniels and the 31. I don't think he moves the needle enough for them to do it.

It might depend on who is still on the board, but in a vacuum this is exactly the type of deal that the Suns should be looking at. I’d do it if any of Carter, Porter, Trae, Mikal, or Miles are there.
The difference between Bayless and Faried is like, $2 million. The difference between #14 and #10 is not equal to #16 + #31 - $2 million. So I'm a little shocked at the yes votes.
It would probably have to depend on if McD thinks he can pair up the 14&16 to either move up higher, or to get a star. If not, then getting this pick could help in a bigger deal to net someone like Kemba if he becomes available or drafting another player he may like more that won't be there at 14 or 16.
The difference in Bayless and Fareid's salary is just under 4mil. So that's pretty significant from a cap perspective.
If we chose to use the pick, the difference in talent left on the board between 10 and 14 could be seen as significant too (MPJ, Sexton, one of the Bridges @ 10 or Knox, Smith @ 14). Plus, the Suns need a PG and it's an expiring deal. Plus, Bayless has local ties and could draw a few fans.

I'm not sure Bayless is a good mentor for young point guards, but moving up to 10 is something I'd like to see us do.Kerrsed wrote:I'd totally do #16/#31 for #10/Bayless. We move up 6 spots for taking on former Wildcat Bayless, who could teach a thing or two to these young PG's.
Looking at the list of players, i have to agree with Tankathon that these will be the top 10 players drafted (But disagree on order).
I honestly wouldnt mind getting Ayton along with anyone of those names.
I also believe that out of those names, one of Carter/Young/Bridges will slide and be the name available at #10.
Hell, would even make it easier to trade up higher in the draft (Packaging #10 with Warren and Chriss or Bender). Could possibly net us that #4 or #5 pick if we throw in a future 1st as well. This trade would be perfect! I mean i was previously looking at stuff like that for #9 and Noah to move up.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Bayless would be good due to local ties. He's expiring so if there are any problems, we can just let him walk or cut him after the deadline. It doesn't look like he's had a negative impact on the 76ers so I don't think he'll be a problem.

To come away with Doncic and Carter in the draft would be great.
But regardless of who we pick at 1, I think of the draft largely as 10 deep, and would love to get any of those guys you list regardless of who we pick at 1.

I'd do it. #10 could be a guy like Carter, Bridges, Porter, Young if they drop. Bayless is 1 year $8.5m left, which we could just eat and he's still serviceable enough to provide us with some guard depth.
My question would be what is the Sixers rationale behind this trade? Salary dump for a big FA signing?

Re: The #16 and #31 Discussion Thread
it would be a draft day trade, if mikal, carter and porter are there, we'd take them, but otherwise, I don't differentiate much between who can be available at 10 and who I'd like to get (Huerter) at #16. #31 is also a valuable trade chip which will help us move up to 21 with Utah (hopefully) to get Mitchell Robinson. Bayless is a tricky contract to move as other front offices now that we're trying for LeBron and so will hold us hostage for a ransom. We've also got a serviceable, back-up energy guy named Justin Anderson to trade his expiring @ 3.5m.

Personally, I think Lebron fits better in PHX.
Kemba/Knight/Harrison
Booker/Daniels/Reed
Jackson/Warren/House
Lebron/Bender
Ayton/Chriss

I think if I couldn't get Young, I would just rather pick Huerter at 16 and move up from 31 for Okobo or MR.

Pelton has an article today or yesterday...actually a mailbag question where someone asked if LeBron made his teammates better. So an analysis was done, and for the most part, he makes high usage players worse and low usage players better. Everyone in that starting lineup is pretty high usage so I don't know how well it would work, though at least we have some shooters except Jackson....but the bench outside of Warren is weak.
Edit: Though one blogger likes the idea of LeBron to the Suns....and not a Suns fan... https://asubstituteforwar.wordpress.com/2018/05/24/how-the-phoenix-suns-could-sign-lebron-james-yes-you-heard-that-right/

Elie Okobo in town. I like his game from what I've seen so far, should be good to have him matchup with Carter in workouts. I seem to recall some people liking Adjin Penava out of Marshall too.

Oh, that is hot. I half-expect Okobo to be this year's last-minute riser up the draft board. Pit him against Jevon Carter. If Okobo can best Carter, I might target him at #16. If Carter locks up Okobo, you have to think about moving down into the twenties in order to take Pat Bev II.

Hello Elie Okobo.
Great matchup for him against Jevon Carter.

I may like Okobo more than any of the other guys talked about at 16 (guys like Melton).

Okobo and Carter can be solid adquisitions at #16 if we do not trade the pick.
Aaron Holiday is another good PG that can be available at #16.

Re: The #16 and #31 Discussion Thread
I think Okobo is a solid pick at #16 as well. His productivity in France at his age lines up well with some of the better perimeter players to come out of France, and he was very impressive against Monaco in their playoff games. I don't think he'll last until 31, but 16 might be a little higher than expected.

Can't remember who it was but I remember someone reputable tweeted last week that candidates for our #1 pick should be coming to town on the back end of this week.

I posted this in the Ayton vs Doncic thread, but figured id also post it here since there is more of a discrepancy when it comes to our later picks.
