We'd also have 3 lights out shooters in D'Lo, Booker, and Bender in the starting lineup.

When did Bender become a lights out guy?

He better be coming off the bench if anything

I think he just signed that extension last summer, so I believe he can't be traded for at least a year. Obviously it is close to a year from then, but I believe he also has a no trade clause and possibly a trade kicker. Not a fan of John Wall because he's super talented but has too big of an ego.

He shot 36.6% from 3 on decent volume which is slightly lower than Dirk's career 3PT %. Not sure how many 7 footers in the NBA past and present are capable of doing this. With Bender being the 4th and 5th option on most plays I could easily see him camping the 3 Point line and knocking down a 40% clip with ease. He should be shooting at least 8 threes a game!

Yeah, I did a little more research and from what I could find it looks like he has a 15% of his total contract owed trade kicker, which would make it nearly impossible to move.

I would be OK with John Wall.... If you watch him closely he's actually the closest to Mini-Lebron.

The way he runs... The way he passes... The way he scores.... But just 3 to 4 inches shorter.... Mind you 6'5 PG is no slouch.

He does have a diva attitude and that rumor that his team mates hate him.... But talent and game style wise he is elite.

I would trade for Wall... But it sucks for Suns cap space long term.... But he could be worth it if he stays healthy and Suns put the right team around him.

I would offer;

Knight (He can score and start for them at half the cost of Wall and shorter contract)

Chandler (Expiring)

Chriss OR Bender

2018 Suns Pick 16

2019 Suns top 3 protected pick

2019 Bucks pick

So 3 first round, an expiring, a young player and a veteran who can help

You have

G Wall
G Booker
F Jackson
F Bender or Chriss
C Ayton

Bench of
F Warren
G Daniels
G Harrison
G/F Reed

Sign
G Beverly
F/C Favors

:o I had no idea it was that much when I watched him... I thought he was decent but that's amazing. How come we didn't have him shoot every time down the court? Must have been a coaching issue.

Bender is the wild card IMO. I’m praying he gets better. Shoot 3’s rebound play D. That’s it.

If we take on that contract the picks better be coming our way, or I'm getting the tar/feathers/pitchforks ready!

Taller, more inside version of a Klay. I don't see him being AS knock down as Klay, but if he starts to really stretch guys, he has the ability to pump and drive as well (which makes me think of what Klay has turned into, shooter that can use that to get by you). Top it off with being able to switch on wings, Bender has a bright future. It's all mindset for him, hopefully our new staff can give him that edge to break through.

It should be noted that benders 3pt % last year is better than russell has ever posted.

I don't want to count out a guy as young as russell but at this point his reputation out weighs his actual production.

Random question but what kind of contract would TJ Warren be looking at if he were a RFA this summer? I guess probably somewhere around the 12 per he got with the Suns but maybe not in this depressed market and considering with his lack of outside shooting he's not the most seamless guy to slide into any lineup.

If your options are James, Paul, Gordon, Randle and Smart, only James and Paul are going to put you over the top. But $50 million per is just too much for a guy with that kind of injury history (and a reputation as an ***hole to boot). That contract would make Smart, Lowry, Conley and Wall's contracts look like good deals.

I don't know. There just isn't a lot of money and his services probably wouldn't be in real high demand from the teams that do have money. Seems like most of the teams that have money are either swinging for the fences or already have small forwards (LAL, Philly, DAL, ATL, etc).

I'm guessing he net lesser money than Will Barton.

Wall is owed 4 years/140 mil. If we could include Knight and Dudley it would like signing him to a 4 year/110 mil deal which I would do. He’s not perfect but would be great for Booker and Ayton. The question would be how comfortable would we be giving up picks because we’re not unloading salary on Washington without them.
