Here's what I would do.

Draft Ayton with the No 1 pick. No need to get cute here, take the best player in the draft, and in redrafts in 3-5 years from now he'd still go number 1. :D
Trade the 16th pick, 31st pick, and Alan Williams for Goran Dragic. Not sure if this is plausible because of the difference in contracts, but if this is doable, it could save the Heat from being in the luxury tax if they move Alan Williams since his contract is a team option. If not, at least they are fairly close to being out of the luxury tax. Could add Davon Reed if that helps.
Sign Amare Stoudemire in the off-season.

Dragic / Knight
Booker / Daniels
Jackson / Warren
Bender / Chriss
Ayton / Chandler / Amare

I'm hoping Amare can teach Ayton how to attack defenders quickly, and Tyson can teach Ayton defensive techniques. Dragic is making 1.5 threes, Booker is making 3.5 threes, Bender is making 2 threes, Knight is making 2 threes, Daniels is making 2.5 threes. That is 11.5 threes from those guys, with possibly Chriss, Warren, and Ayton tallying up -2 more total threes per game too.
I would expand more, but kind of tired right now.

Great teams usually have 2 stars surrounded by 3&D players. We can hope 2 of Booker/Jackson/1st pick will turn into stars. For now Suns don't have any 3&D player. They have just a few 3 OR D players :-?

And why some people wants to have 2 centers in the starting lineup? Yeah, let's go in the opposite all the other teams are moving.

Its amazing Booker has been this good on this roster. He literally has to create and score. The games when he was not playing were brutal to watch. Hopefully next season the team will be more balanced and he focus on scoring and defense.

Complete Rosterbation, hence where i put it. Just a dream, but a good one nonetheless. Somebody proposed these on 'Fansided' all with the Sacramento Kings.

TRADE 1:

Phx Gives:

2018 #1 pick (Suns)
2018 #16 pick (Suns)
Marquese Chriss

Phx Receives:

2018 #2 pick (Kings)
De'Aaron Fox

TRADE 2:

Phx Gives:

2018 #1 pick (Suns)
2018 #16 pick (Suns)
2019 1st round pick (least favorable - Suns/Bucks)
Marquese Chriss

Phx Receives:

2018 #2 pick (Kings)
De'Aaron Fox
Willie Stein

TRADE 3:

Phx Gives:

2018 #16 pick (Suns)
2019 1st round pick (Bucks)
2021 1st round pick (Heat)
T.J. Warren
Marquese Chriss

Phx Receives:

2018 #2 pick (Kings)

TRADE 4:

Phx Gives:

2018 #16 pick (Suns)
2018 #31 pick (Suns)
2019 1st round pick (Bucks)
2019 1st round pick (Suns)
2021 1st round pick (Heat)
2021 1st round pick (Suns)
T.J. Warren
Marquese Chriss
*Possibly add Bender and/or take on semi bad contract (i.e., Iman Shumpert) from Kings

Phx Receives:

2018 #2 pick (Kings)
De'Aaron Fox
Willie Stein

*Wow, do we give up a lot on trade 4, straight rosterbation, but our line up would be pretty dope, and in a couple seasons our picks would be just a fraction of their current value.

Again, straight rosterbation, but could you imagine:

C) Ayton
PF) JJ
SF) Doncic
SG) Booker
PG) Fox

If Fox accepts a role, with that lineup, he could lead this league in assist for multiple seasons. Just blow by your man lefty then 1) feed your teammates, 2) shoot your layup or 3) feed your teammates!

The highlight lobs to Ayton or JJ, and wide open 3pt kickouts to Booker or Doncic, would be a common occurrence.

#31 = Dragic
#59 + Dudley(?)/Chandler(?) = #14 + Faried
#14 + #16 + Warren/Chriss + 2019 unprotected = #4/#5/#6

Dragic - Booker - Jackson - JJJ/Bamba/Bagley - Ayton
Knight - Reed - X - Bender (Faried) - Williams

Denver is offering the 14th to move the last year of Faried's contract (need to clear cap space)...so they certainly wouldn't take expiring contracts back. That would basically just end up being #59 for #14.....now of course I'd definitely make that swap.

I wouldn't want Bagley or Bamba next to Ayton. Jackson would be good to have next to him though, not that there is any chance we can get two top guys anyway.

But I guess it's fun to rosterbate.

I agree that Bagley and Ayton may not be a good fit but I think Ayton and Bamba can play together. My aim was JJJ for sure but I think we can't draft JJJ from #5 or #6 in that case. And since I traded Dragic I didn't want to draft Young. Maybe MPJ? It feels too early for MPJ.

I guess it depends on how well you think Ayton would be defensively. If you think he can be a defensive stud, Porter might be a nice pick to play 4.

I would definitely not want Bamba and Ayton together. Have you watched full Bamba games? Being in Austin I watched him a bit. He was one of my favorite guys going into the season...just a super likable guy. And some of his highlights look great. But much of the game he can be a non factor...this was in college. He would just get pushed around. He is very weak. In pros he may have it rough for awhile until he puts on some weight. Ayton's not physical but Bamba is a toothpick.
