Alphabet may get the Bucks to re-sign Parker.

On Smart, the guy needs to learn his role in terms of not jacking up shots but the guy is a flat out pest defensively. He's fun to watch (on the defensive side of the ball).

I don’t see Lavigne on the Bulls roster, but there is a LaVine. :D

Okay that clip just makes it seem a lot more like Woj is just saying something because its his turn to speak at the round table. Doesn't sound like he has any inside info on what the Bulls' plans are. I'm a little more relieved.

Please no. That would suck more than just about anything. Except if we gave a big long contract to Lavine and then signed those two.

Don't see the point of paying the premium for Smart when we have a much better player in Dunn. Especially when we have a glut at guard. If we need defensive guards we can just sign some vet for cheap.

Unless we sign any premium free agents I think we should have a quiet summer. Sign a vet or two on a one year deal. And keep space ready for summer of 19.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

So will this thread be our legendary 100 pg thread, or will somebody have the courage to start one closer to July?

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

We better the hell not be a factor in july.

Only call we should take is if LeBron or Durant wants to join us outside of that miracle, we should hold our money, and try to max out 2 guys next year.

Plot twist, LeBron could go to houston, and cp3 could be on the move, we better not pick up the phone for anyone. It's just not worth it. If it not something dealing with LeBron durant or kawhi trade, just focus on next year.

Not sure why/how the Bulls would be a factor. They won't have enough room to offer a full max for a 7+ year guy (LeBron, George, Durant), and there's no one at the lower level that's an RFA which is exciting nor is there anyone that's a UFA that is sub max that will be appealing.

The Bulls don't need decent to good players at high prices. They have enough young talent already and don't need to glut things up for non stars.

If an amazing deal appears, then sure, maybe.

Can someone explain this to me like "The contracts for Dummies" -style?

We haven't signed LaVine yet, and there's no big deals on our roster so how we wouldn't have room for max deals?

i think this would be silly but i'll probably wait for something a little more substantive before bothering to get upset

I hate that we won't take a shot on him, his skill set fits perfectly with our offense, and we could get him discounted. But I know we not taking a chance on him.

We're getting Lebron this time. It's happening, folks. Lebron wants to play with Lauri.

If we let Lavine walk, and didn't re-sign anybody due for a contract, we would have about $42M in cap space. That would be letting Vonleh, Nwaba, and Lavine all walk without QO's and not picking up Zipser (team option) .

The only one I'm keeping is Nwaba.

Our rebuild is sped up? Huh?

So we will overpay a FA and pair them w/ our awesome young core. I don't need a crystal ball but that is not a recipe to be a title contender.

Hey, go for it, maybe if Paxson screws up enough he'll get fired (doubtful).

Yes, Woj. A factor for free agents to use Chicago as leverage in negotiations. But they were never serious to play for Chicago in the first place.

Yeah, I guess we'd have room if we don't sign LaVine at all.
