What makes Mikal's upside different from Klay Thompson or Khris Middleton? Honest question.

I don't understand the "best case scenario role player" take at all.

He was only a productive scorer for one season at almost 21 years old and he seems like a system player even at the college level.

However, Middleton wasn't even good in college and shot 26% from 3 his junior year, so who knows.

Klay and Khris were both three year guys on worse percentages. It's a roll of the dice for sure, but I don't agree with the take that best case scenario for someone with that skillset isn't good enough.

I wouldn't say not good enough, just not as good as guys like SGA and Miles Bridges. He would be a fine pick at 11 imo, just like Frank was a fine pick, but I think there are other options with more upside that we should be going for.

I was saying earlier that a good wing is a player who can do 2 out 3 (shoot,defend, playmake). At 11 he can do two in shoot and defend and that is better than both of our wings. I would take him and try to develop his playmaking abilities.

He played on the most complete team in college at Nova. Played with Donte, Brunson, Spellman... so three other first round talents, so he wasn’t asked to do much. There is a reason he is considered a top 10 prospect and those guys aren’t ...

Just because he is ready to contribute from day one doesn’t mean he isn’t going to get better. I would like a guy like Devin Booker, who wasn’t asked to do as much in college because of how good his team was, or even Jayson Tatum. They had more in them in college, but had enough talent around them that was good that he didn’t need to go beast mode.

If Mikal Bridges is sitting there at 11, I don't see a player that makes more sense to us (more than SGA). SGA would be a nice piece for our backcourt, but Mikal has that athletic wing player with a championship pedigree that we need for our future. It would help sail the MKG ship out of town and allow us to move he and Batum around until Batum is shown the door.

For me - Mikal is my top dawg, Miles and SGA a close 1b and 1c.
