What do you like about Anfernee Simons to put him so high on your list?

Hes the best talent at sg to me. Super athletic smooth and very skilled. Malik Monk went 11th in a very deep draft with virtually no handles..Simons is Monk with wingspan and very good handles. The only thing you could argue against him is his lack of ideal sg height and lack of girth/strength.

I'm still watching prospects so it probably won't be the final big board, but here we go. My big board as of first week of June:

Image

For the record I had to ignore everything I saw from Porter Jr this season and rely strictly on what I've seen before this year, because I don't think that what we saw was representative. Also, because we don't have the medicals of players, I also am assuming good health and ranking them with the assumption that Porter Jr for example wouldn't be hindered by his injury in his long-term development. It's probably not fair, and I understand people who drop him because of health and because of how he looked in the few games he played after returning to play this year, but I do like him best form this draft if he's healthy.

Knox is a guy I'm struggling to peg a little bit, had him high pre-season but really disappointed. Is it all 'what-if' with him? Nice physical profile and nice shooter but wasn't good on D, doesn't seem to utilize his athleticism as much as I hoped, etc.

Seeing him from 10-20 on most of these boards. I have closer to 20 than 10.

His strengths and weaknesses look pretty bad here too.. http://www.tankathon.com/players/kevin-knox

I'm more out than in. He's a guy that looks like he should be good but isn't. Will have modest role player upside offensively, maybe an efficient 15ppg guy at best, but with no defense and other complimentary skills, I don't see the lottery appeal unless you're betting on a lot of development.

Is #18 on my BB right now.

He's one of my least favorite players. I wouldn't draft him regardless.

What changed your mind on JJJ? I know you were never really high on him prior.

He was always a top talent for me given his skill set and age but I thought there was some softness and high variance to his game, and I really didn't like how a guy with his physical profile doesn't rebound at the level that he should.

I still have those questions marks, but I liked what I saw and heard from him at the combine so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think out of the top 10, he might have the most bust potential to me but his ceiling might also be the highest.

One of the Suns analytic guys I spoke to loooves JJJ.He spoke in such high regards for him, he made me re-evaluate my stance on him, and I don't like him at all. I don't know why. He has a funny shot and he is just slow motion explosive when he moves and jumps. He isn't twitchy enough for me. He is effective though.

I don't even think Gary Clark gets drafted and you have him 6th? Are you Gary Clark?
