The media will talk about his game 3 finals performance for God knows how long. B2B finals MVP and still under 30? I think his legacy will be fine.
I don't agree, I talk to many casual fans and they also don't respect Durant. Decreasing shoe sales and nowhere near as marketable as he used to be. He killed his legacy.

Did Durant play well in game three? Didn't notice. I was trying to figure out where LeBron might go next. KD--most lightly regarded MVP of all time.

Kd shd back Seattle, build a franchise and win a title, otherwise his legacy is empty as of now.

He's like the Arod of the nba. I wonder if he will end up liked like Arod seems to be now.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

No way. KD is a great player and I love his game, but after joining GSW he will never be a topo 15 for me.

Pretty much peaked in last year's finals but nobody really appreciates it that much because he joined a 73-9 team. Anyone else feel like this? Or do people still appreciate how good he is regardless of him joining the Warriors?

As it should be. "The hardest road" coming from him almost sounds like an insult to players like Iverson, Barkley or TMac.

Not all chips are equal, Ovechkin and Nowitzki felt a 1000 times better winning theirs, of that you can be certain.

You have won 0 playoff series.
The worst mvp ever( no winnimg, stats over reality)
And everyone is running away from you

Meanwhile Durant hasnt Lost a playoff series. 2 FMVP.

And showing his skills in the most important game of the year.

It not our fault that you were the worst thing to basketball from.the last decade and nobody can win with you...

Get over It!! You always can have a triple double in regular season

Some "experts" Will say that you have overshadow the two Times Champion.

I don't give him a lot of credit. He deserved both Finals MVPs, but doesn't get the credit a Finals MVP normally would.

Pretty much. Meh

Would’ve been a lot more fun to see Steph Curry as the main guy and see what kind of depth they could have put around him

Dirk's 1 title with the Mavs, Hakeem 2 with Rockets, Wade 1 with Heat (Shaq era) etc. >>>>>>> Durant's 200 titles with GS.

Coward.

I know I'm extra bitter given who my favorite team is, but these championships for the Warriors, and especially for KD, just feel really...meh. I don't know the right word to describe it...empty? fake? meaningless? Whatever it is, I know in my lifetime I've never felt as if a championship had as little impact on legacies as the Warriors 2017 and 2018 titles.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

I wish Durant can say, okay I got two chips, I got two fmvps. I got my success. Now I wanna go back to OKC and pay back what I owe it to the city. I need to prove I can lead the team to a championship.

That would help.

Owe? Get out of here with that.

Easier path to the Finals due to loaded team which means less physical and mental energy expanded. Easier Finals due to loaded team. It's pretty much a race of "Who's going to be the best performer on the team that's obviously going to win?"

In the case of Steph, Klay, Draymond or Iguodala winning, they'd deserve more credit because they made the team what it is. In case of Durant, the credit is lowered even further because he jumped on the bandwagon.

he deserved both finals fmvps because he was the best or second best player on those warriors teams but people don't respect his fmvps because he had to join the already title favorites in 73-9 warriors to get them. he has it easy playing with klay and steph, 2 of the best shooters to ever play this game.

Yeah it is hard to put any respect to KD's rings and FMVP. I am not a basketball player or play in any organize league so my best comparison is when I use to play a lot of call of duty especially MW2.

I can't imagine playing with my friends search and destroy, domination, or TDM every night and then switch to the team that beat us after getting close to winning. Especially with how much sh*t talking involve during the game.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.

Dude's got the easiest job in the world now with the talent around him.

He's also ruined the flow of their beautiful offense.

As far as MVP caliber players with nba championships go, his feel like the 2 least earned in history.
He just hopped on the GSW bus. Quit on any challenge. Could have created his own legacy but has now tarnished both his own and Steph/Klay's.

What exactly has this guy done to earn two championships?

KD stole this team from Steph. Where we should have been talking about where Steph ranks on the all time list instead we're here talking about Durants legacy. Lol

Will anyone really change their mind on this one. I know I won't. As long as he plays with such a stacked team his achievements are not very impressive to me. Especially because he hand picked the team he is on.

But they might be to others.
