Was looking at Bichette’s numbers:

First 23 games of the season he was .306/.376/.449 with 11 walks and 22 k’s. Then he went through an 18 game slump where he was .162/.250/.257 with 8 walks and 17 k’s. But in 17 games since then, he’s .387/.451/.645 with 7 walks and 6 k’s. So in 40 games surrounding that 18 game slump, he’s .338/.406/.525. And it’s also very encouraging that recently he’s really cut down on the k’s, and his power is way up.

Kevin Smith had another big night, hitting 3/4 2run 2 rbi 1bb 0k.
he is now hitting .324 in Dunedin, what a turn around in just 2 games.

Does anyone knows what type of injury that Warmoth had suffered which leaded him to be on the DL?

SS Logan Warmoth on the 7-day disabled list retroactive to May 25, 2018.
It was never disclosed but I think I heard on Dunedin radio it was some sort of leg/foot thing. But could be wrong.

Ryan Noda's power has woken up; he now has 4 HRs in 3 games. Another week of that and his slugging percentage might actually exceed his on-base percentage.

Zach Logue has hit the ground running in Dunedin. He's well on pace to end the year there, and then face the traditional crucible for pitchability lefties in 2019: AA hitters.

This has been your Guys Who Probably Aren't Prospects update.

I found it the organization isn't informative on all the injuries that had happened so far this year.

There usually aren’t a whole lot of details about minor league injuries, in general.

Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Mat Latos sparks a huge benches-clearing brawl.

The New Jersey Jackals were playing against the Rockland Boulders.

My concern is that Blue Jay injury report always get worse with the passage of time. At the end of four weeks, they may be amputating his toes. (Just kidding)

Dagger told me it was no big deal when he got injured. I guess if he misses a month or two it’s not the end of the world, as long as he doesn’t have lingering effects when he returns.

That was his first injury - this was a different incident.

No, it wasn’t. It was the second time he left a game, after he had a few games off to nurse the first injury. He was said to be noticeably limping.

The Jays certainly believed it wasn't a big deal, as he only missed one day. As long as they're patient (and really, there's no reason not to be) it's not the end of the world. He'll return in July, probably get an end-of-season cup of coffee in Buffalo, start there for a couple weeks of "seasoning" in 2019 if we're doing it right, and then he'll be a Jay. Right on schedule.

Jansen, on the other hand, can't be far away. Hit his fourth home run...not a lot to dislike about his numbers these days.

Nice start by Sean Reid-Foley for BUF. Seven innings of one-run ball on 3 hits, 9K, 0BB, 1HBP erased by DP. A complete 7-inning game, front end of a doubleheader.

He had a one hit shutout through five innings, gave up a run on two hits in the sixth. Set down Columbus 1-2-3 in the seventh. Threw 97 pitches with 67 strikes.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr with a homer and four RBIs, average over .300 now. Danny Jansen with a a three run homer, Roemon Fields 3-3 through six innings and has his average into the .240s, and climbing. Buffalo is playing good ball.

I wish Lourdes would walk once in a while.

Bo Bichette has steals 18 and 19 on the season, today. I don’t really know what to make of that, tbh.

This. It's great that he doesn't strike out much, but 16 minor league walks in ~375 PAs is pathetic. Lots of room for improvement there.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Anthony Alford finally has his average above .200 for the moment. Although, somehow his OPS is still below .500 for the moment.
