Seems like a bad fit, but I thought Paul and Harden would be a bad fit. Main thing would be that at least 2, and maybe all 3 of the guys on the court with LeBron and Westbrook would need to be able to shoot the three. Westbrook and LeBron with a bunch of shooters would be scary.

That said, Westbrook is OKC. If Presti traded him, it would be his job because OKC fans would loathe him and stop supporting the team.

The main question would be why on earth would OKC agree to do that? Like even if LeBron worked the impossible and convinced Westbrook to be down with it, why would OKC agree??? The 8th pick, Love? - that’s nowhere near enough....

Thats not true. What the general public doesnt know is that the Cavs can get out of both JR Smiths and George Hills massive contracts by paying just a few million in a buyout. The can dump JRs 15mill contract with a 2.5mill buyout I believe and Georges 20mill contract for 3.5mill if I remember the numbers correctly. So you spend 6 million in buyout money to create 35mill in cap space.

They have space to wiggle I lot of people and media for whatever reason just dont report it.

Lebron James knows that if it was westbrook who grabs the offensive board from the FT line he would for sure either go for the score or the assists

Also, why would LeBron want a ball dominant guard who can't shoot as his sidekick? It's not a good fit.

It is a good fit when it comes to competitiveness and attitude though. Actually an amazing fit in that respect. Would be a very exciting and dramatic narrative... The press would eat it up.

It wouldn't be pretty, but yeah, I think it would work. The two of them could take turns at a very high level.

Lack of shooting is a problem, but leaving either James or Westbrook open with room to attack the hoop is very dangerous.

Harden & CP3 both shoot the ball well, so, it's more seamless for those two.

The only chance for them to play together would be if Lebron & PG13 go to LA and Westbrook ask for a trade.

It's the only move that makes sense story-line wise; Durant vs. Westbrook in the NBA finals. Adam Silver and his staff of writers have telegraphed what they want next season to be about.

But really people who are saying it's not a good fit are delusional. Two of the most athletic guys in the NBA can make it work. The Cavs don't have the assets to trade though.

This Russ to CLE trade will never happen but on a side note, Russ and Love were very tight at UCLA. If Lebron leaves CLE, I wouldn't be surprised to see OKC try to get their own "super team" of Westbrook, PG and K-Love.

I do actually think OKC should consider it, you eat two years of bad contracts from whoever the Cavs have, you get some better picks and move forward with that. but they should look for some future picks way down the line á la Boston, if the Cavs can hold on to LeBron then they should be prepared to mortgage their future.

OKC have blown this generation. you can't lose Harden and Durant and expect to just re-tool a little bit and achieve anything more than mediocrity.
