It's why Hamidou Diallo is a top 5 pick

Hezi, Mitchell wasn't even projected to be in the first rd for his Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, or even most of his senior year. Heck he wasn't even thought of as a Lotto pick until the combine where he blew up.

Some inaccurate information there but I get your point. I wasn't forming my opinion on projections, rather just on personal preference. That is all.

Knox is one of the few guys that's the right size. I'll give him that.

I agree. Then why draft Carter?

I don't want him.

Usually nbadraft.net and draftexpress mocks would become very accurate in the last week, I'm guessing that's because they actually talk to scouts. well we are closing in on that 1 week and mikal is going #7 to the bulls on nbadraft.net. that is not encouraging if we want mikal to drop.

Of course we all want to hit two home runs but at the very least I want a few guys who are nasty on defense with LENGTH..

This is coming from people that only liked Frank because he had long arms

What was Frank showcasing overseas that had y'all drooling so much? I can't wait for this

Here we go again with the Frank hype, from the same crowd that finally had to calm down on him and admit that he was a raw project and screamed raw project after Frank showed them what he was this season (while I was saying raw project way back in June last year), now y'all back to hyping him up for being so skilled again? Oh boy here we go again

Who is hyping him up? For one I've always loved his defense, I am a true defense first believer, so watching him play defense made me want to sign on. We weren't hurting on offense, so wanting a shoot first point guard coming off of a major injury was not my cup of tea. Also we didn't want the point guard we had that played just like him in Rose. I loved Mitchell's game although I felt that he was not a point guard. For years you guys cried about our point guards playing matador defense yet they wanted DSJ or Monk. :nonono: But now we have a great defender and people start complaining about offense :dontknow: Most of us knew he would take some time, but as some of us have pointed out from the beginning, you can't rebuild in NY because fans aren't patient enough to wait for their rookies to develop. You overlook great shot mechanics, you overlook passing ability, you overlook ball movement, and you overlook player progression throughout the year.

It's like this argument I'm having with my wife in regards to Lonzo Ball. She sees bust because he can't shoot, plays absolutely no defense, and of course he can be a horrible teammate. Which I agree, but I don't see bust because he can run the team, his passes are on par to being Kidd level, and he has elite transition play which is very important in this league today. But because his father has hyped the media up and made him out to be on a Jordan level, she sees him as a bust because he has not taken flight in his first year.

But, Frank has the work ethic of a superstar player where he strives to get better and he's always in the ear of a vet, wanting to learn the game. So I'm willing to give him a chance and I've seen the progression to become better, It's just going to take time.

Yeah me too, I miss the H20 vs Spree arguments, or the Tim Thomas Vs KVH arguments, those were epic!!! My life would be sooooo boring without RGM, I would have to look at my wife all evening with a knife behind my back.

If Kevin Knox turns out to be a damn good SF with his vast skillset and him only being 18 I’ll just have to admit that I slept on him this entire time. Whenever I watched him my eyes were telling me he wasn’t impacting the game when he wasn’t scoring. If he turns into a good pro or shows legitimate potential I’ll sort of kick myself for not seeing it.

IN on Knox. The shot will translate. The off ball movement will translate. Just needs some more confidence.

He reminds me of Harrison Barnes when he came out. Decent player but could be so much more

Yes please!!! Just watched his clips and though clips can't tell the whole story, he is extremely fluid with his stroke, handle and decision making. I would play him right now at the 3 over THJr AND Troy Williams. He plays effortlessly.

In a stretch of two weeks the vibe has gone from Mikal, to Lonnie, to Knox.

This gonna be a bloodbath draft night.

To me it's Frank vs. Mitchell all over again, do we want to wait for development in Knox or get the sure thing in Mikal?
